E&B Lab, by IMS Competition Moka filter (3 Cup)

While I received the E&B 6-cup Moka pot and this extra filter of theirs on the same day, I left the E&B in its box and tried the filter in my Alessi Moka Pot designed by David Chipperfield. I just wanted to report it fit in the Alessi pot perfectly, but I did have to press all the way around with my thumb to get it to fully seat properly (then I screwed the two pot pieces together tight to make sure it was fully in.When I used ti I can report back that this filter from E&B does indeed improve the flavor of moka pot coffee. Overall the coffee was lacking a slight harshness inherent in Bialetti, and it was perhaps also slightly less syrupy -- all of which I considered an improvement.I only use a moka pot occasionally when I want to make a cafe au lait in a bowl (since I got tired of descaling and cleaning my espresso machine after nearly 20 years).This works well, and I assume since I can get it to work in the David Chipperfield-designed Alessi moka pot, it will also work in ANY Alessi moka pot (since I believe they share gaskets/filter plate dimensions).I haven't tried it in my Bialetti yet.

The media could not be loaded. A WELL-MADE FILTER. FITS PERFECTLY IN MY BIALETTI COFFEE MACHINE. MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. THE RUBBER SEAL SEALS PERFECTLY AND IT LOOKS WELL-CRAFTED TO LAST A LONG TIME. QUICK DELIVERY AND VERY WELL PACKAGED. I WILL SOON POST PICTURES OF THE COFFEE.

For all you coffee heads out there with a New Venus 4 cup mocha pot. Yes it can use the 3 cup competition filter. It fits very nicely and works perfectly. I went over my caffeine limit just to check it out. Serious coffee quality improvement. I can't recommend this competition filter ENOUGH. Don't miss out on superb coffee flavor. Highly recommended.

So I was like everyone else thinking oh I can just use a paper filter with my moka pot and it will be the same thing as if I just used this filter. Let me tell you from my own experience it's not the same thing. I still use a paper filter but now I use it with this filter and I find that my coffee / espresso is so much cleaner and tastier. Definitely buy it if you love using your moka pot you honestly can't go wrong. It does make a HUGE difference. 10/10

While this fits a Pedrini perfectly it’s a bit small for the Bialetti Venus. Other than that it’s a definite improvement over the original filters.

Sized to fit Bialetti 6 cup Mika pot. Very fine screen filters out most grounds when brewing. Makes for better extraction and a better brew. Am looking for other sizes if they become available. Seems a little pricy but probably a good buy in long run.

Huge step up from the standard moka pot filter. Easier to clean and makes better coffee! Huge upgrade!

Perfect fit for the Bialetti Moka Express 3-cup. The original Bialetti filter was not bad, it's just that this one by EB Lab is better. Less grit at the bottom of the poured cup. There is still a bit of fine sediment at the bottom of the cup when I'm at the last sip. I can deal with that. Made in Italy!
