Review: Shocked ! - So this stuff is kind of amazing to me?? From what I can tell, it actually does exactly what it claims to do. I’ve never tried a setting powder that stays completely matte for more than a few hours. I’ve used this a few times over tinted moisturizer (which tends to get very shiny on me) and I swear at the end of the day it looks and feels exactly as when I put it on - I mean like up to 10 hours without touching up at all. The powder itself is very very fine and dry (which seems obvious for a setting powder but I’ve found this can be hit or miss) the only thing I can think to compare the texture to is rice flour - it does not clump or stick together AT ALL which makes it super easy to apply and sweep away any excess. I don’t wear full coverage foundation really at all so maybe it looks a bit different layered on top of something heavier (especially if you have dry skin, but idk why someone with dry skin would think to buy this in the first place). A lot of brands claim to give you the “no makeup makeup” look, so I was honestly very surprised at how natural it looks, esp for the price (looking at you, Laura Mercier). Definitely worth a try !

So this stuff is kind of amazing to me?? From what I can tell, it actually does exactly what it claims to do. I’ve never tried a setting powder that stays completely matte for more than a few hours. I’ve used this a few times over tinted moisturizer (which tends to get very shiny on me) and I swear at the end of the day it looks and feels exactly as when I put it on - I mean like up to 10 hours without touching up at all. The powder itself is very very fine and dry (which seems obvious for a setting powder but I’ve found this can be hit or miss) the only thing I can think to compare the texture to is rice flour - it does not clump or stick together AT ALL which makes it super easy to apply and sweep away any excess.
