GE LED BR30 Indoor Floodlight Bulb (8 Pack) - Energy Star Certified, Soft White, 10W

I was a little hesitant to buy light bulbs online because I was worried they would arrive broken. These GE flood lights arrived in perfect condition, and they work great in our finished basement. They are brighter than our previous 65 watt flood lights, but they do cast a warm glow like a traditional incandescent bulb. (I made sure that I purchased the "warm" or "soft white" color). Are they exactly like incandescent? No - incandescent have a yellow glow and these have a bit of a pinkish-yellow glow, but they are fairly good for LED lights (especially if you are like me and you usually expect LED's to cast that harsh white/blue light). I am very pleased with my purchase and hopefully this well help out with the electric bill.

Most LED lights are functional and works as you would expect. Efficiency and life time are another issue which I will not be commenting on in this review. I have already converted my entire house to LED lights 8 years ago. I had used a variety of different brands. Some are still working and others have had to be replaced. I have high ceilings and some VERY high ceilings and so long life is important to me. So back to the problem that I was attempting to correct. I use an antenna to view my local channels over the air. I have always had some interference issues at certain times of the day. I had assumed most of these issues were external to my home. Guess what ? I noticed one day that when I turn on my kitchen lights at a certain time of the day I would begin to get interference. This interference only lasts for a 30 minutes or less in the early morning or evening time. I went and unscrewed each LED light in the ceiling until I found 2 LED lights that seemed to be causing the interference. So I ordered these LED's to replace these LED's. I have now verified painstakingly that this has fixed this problem for now. So I am quite happy. The light and color seems to be comparable to the LED's that they have replaced but no interference. !!! I tested ALL the LED's to make that they still worked or at least produced light. YMMV but for my use case these have worked perfectly so far.

Bought these bulbs in March 2024. I am just now (20 months) later having to replace a couple. All other brands were going out in just a couple of months. I will be purchasing again.

The description says 10w, but the box clearly says 9w. It doesn’t seem like enough of a difference in brightness to return it. Much lighter in weight than the original GE 10w. Time will tell if it lasts as long.

Just what I was looking for. No longer have to manually switch the lights on & off. These bulbs are bright, almost florescent. I would had preferred a warm glow light.

The description does not indicate that these should not be used for recessed fixtures. They will barely last between 8-12 months in a recessed enclosure. I wish this was indicated somewhere as we put them in recessed lights 25 feet high and now have to go through the frustrating process of trying to change them again. These were placed in all of our recessed lights and they are slowly failing. They flicker violently as they near the end of their life. The majority of indoor flood fixtures are recessed so that should be something specifically mentioned in its description; having accurate information is preferable to setting money on fire by purchasing something that won't work for long.
