No real issues to worry about other than battery drain rate.
I picked up this device during a sale and it’s proven to be an outstanding piece of kit. Internet connectivity is seamless, and it handles even the most demanding games effortlessly. It does tend to run hot under pressure, so I’d recommend using a cooling pad to help manage the heat. Aside from that, it’s a solid performer. The screen, while limited to HD resolution, delivers smooth visuals with no noticeable frame rate issues. Build quality is excellent—both in appearance and feel—and the hardware feels premium. It’s a bit on the heavier side, so keep that in mind if portability is a priority. Also, the battery drains fairly quickly during gaming sessions, so frequent charging is necessary. One notable drawback: during extended gaming, even when plugged in, the system’s power demands can outpace the charging rate, causing the battery to slowly deplete. That aside, I’ve encountered no major issues and would happily recommend it.

Excellent for professional graphics/web work and gaming - Speakers have driver issue but easy fix.
UPDATE: Speakers Popping sounds The speakers pop when using the realtek drivers. This is a known problem on several simillar spec laptops from other manufacturers. Looking on the internet others have reported the same issue on other laptops. The problem is to do with the latest realtek drivers. Install the Windows generic audio driver and this fixes the problem. Bought this for our design agency due to growth. This laptop has double the cpu cores of our desktop and a better gpu coming from a 980ti and a 6700k. So far the laptop is extremely fast, quiet and the keyboard and trackpad are great. I’ve been running Skyrim to test things out and the fans stay very quiet on ultra settings. The 16:10 resolution is great for gaming but not so good for web browsing as many websites use height percentage rules which are off slightly due to the extra height. It’s not really an issue and we understand it because we are web devs! There are 4 exhaust ports and 2 fans which point downwards so I’ve been propping the laptop up slightly just to lift the fans off the deck. It’s not really necessary but helps improve airflow in general. Ports are lacking after you have plugged in a mouse and keyboard or headset you will be out of ports. You will need a usb 4 compatible dock to add more usb ports or run more than one additional monitor. There are only a few usb ports. Again being the nerd that I am I have also ordered an nvme and usbc caddy for Dropbox. Speakers are good for a laptop. Highly recommended but don’t pay more than £850 if possible. Given the nvidia 5060 will be out soon.

Worth the money for a decent gaming laptop, very powerful.
Looked for new gaming laptop with a decent graphics card as my old one was almost impossible to play while stuck at 4gb ram, and I am not dissatisfied with this purchase, the weight of the laptop is very heavy but the design is sleek, the speed is very fast and the performance is brilliant; I can finally play my games all in Ultra settings with no stuttering or lag, the noise level is non existent even the fans don’t sound noisy, overall very happy with my purchase and if it broke I would buy again.

I'm happy with mine :)
I bought the 2024 model on sale for £940 ish, and for that price it's well worth it. The cpu is excellent and the 4060 is capable enough to run any game I've tried at very acceptable fps. Only a few things to complain about would be how quickly the battery drains when running a demanding game, even while plugged in. My work around is to stay in performance mode and limit the fps to 75 in the nvidia control panel. This drains far more slowly and I'm happy with a reasonably consistent 70 fps in kcd2 for example. The igpu is also extremely capable and uses less wattage than the 4060, but choosing the 780m graphics to play larger games will heat up the cpu v much and the fans get a bit obnoxious in that case. But definitely good to have the choice of two excellent gpus. Thermal Performance is also good, the fans don't spin up unless your running a heavy title, or don't limit the fps. It's also a wee bit too plastic and feels a bit weak, haven't dropped it yet so I'll get back to you on durability. The only other thing is the back-lit keyboard. It's orange by default, and can't be changed. Not the worst thing but every time I use my old HP the light green is so much easier on the eyes, it's a shame there's no choice of colours. If you see this model for around a grand, it's well worth it. If much more than that....maybe just save up for a lenovo legion instead. I'm very happy with this model at under £1,000 Pro tip, use the overclock checking tool (occt) to keep an eye on power, voltages, clock speeds and temperatures. Any electrical issues or faulty components or other warning signs can be easier to spot in occt vs hwinfo imo.

Good laptop for moderat gaming and graphical applications
I purchased this as a replacement for an old desktop and I use it mostly for the small business we run and some gaming on the side. It is wired most of the time so difficult for me to comment on the battery life however, the performance is good running CAD applications and games such as Wow run very well on Med/High settings. I also have it wired for dual monitors which works well. On the downside, it is a little restricted in terms of ports and the location of the once on the rear is a bit of an inconvienience but overall, this laptop represented great value for money.

Good PC to buy during sales
Ease of use Hardware wise, iits okay - Im not having too many problems with this product. Peformance: It works fine - it lagged a little when I was playing Halo 1 on singleplayer.... but overall, it seem to be working just fine (please note this is coming from a non-serious gamer who only buys new pcs every 5-7years) Weight: It is quite heavy, so it may not be travel friendly Noise Level: The fans can be noisy - but since most of the time I'm playing with headphones so It doesn't bother me that much. Some people mentioned idle loudspeaker problems which had not happened to me yet. Screen quality: Its beautiful - but some may feel that the screen is more square shaped than rectangular so may need few weeks to get used to it (like I did)

Laptop was great until it broke after 4 weeks of use
I bought the laptop less than a month ago. It's was great and I loved it, until it died. I only tested GTA IV (old game now) on it and it ran beautifully. Other than that, I was using it for Rekordbox (DJ software) and general use and it worked great. 4 weeks after purchase, I got a system error blue screen after which I am unable to do anything, even reinstall windows. Just says that the device needs repair. It looks like something was defective, whether its the motherboard or SSD, I dont know. Contacted Acer warranty (which is repair only, no replacement) and they said repair will take 15-30 days excluding delivery. I cant wait that long as I have gigs so at least Im going through a refund with Amazon now - Hopefully that will be quick.

10/10
Haven't turned my Ps5 on since I bought this! Fortnite, runescape, balders gate, warzone, BF7 all run flawlessly. Few reviews scared me chatting S* about battery depleats quicker than it charges while gaming..... Rubbish. Fans have never had to reach near maximum power, even on the hotter days. I don't play from a desk or use any external cooling other than a simple laptop tray with Built in mouse mat that can slide out of either side. Yes. you need to be plugged in to get any good performance. Best bit of tech I've ever owned I love it. Strongly recommend this black Friday! Looking to buy a ram upgrade for her this blackfriday/cyber Monday.
