I don’t really get it, and I’m not feeling anything
First of all, I wish they would give a better explanation about what exactly this honey is if they’re going to charge so much for it. Because you would assume that most people like myself have never heard of Manuka honey. Of course, I’m never one too shy way from research and I was really curious about this, particularly because I like natural health things, and I just had to go through breast cancer treatment at quite a young age.And while I did a bunch of research on the stuff, the bottom line here is that it’s supposed to be really great for you and super healing, and like a super food, etc.As far as I can tell, it is the real deal like others have said. So, awesome! It does taste different than normal honey, but it doesn’t taste bad. However, I have not noticed any obvious positive effects anywhere in my body in regards to trying to take this regularly. So it may be really rare and really awesome and I think bees are fantastic little creatures, that we absolutely need to stop killing and are vital to our planets health. But with all of this said, I can’t justify the price tag on this honey and I don’t think I would personally purchase it again.I do appreciate them taking great care in giving us the realist kind of honey possible. Because you have to be so careful when purchasing honey now due to the fact that a lot of them are made with high fructose corn syrup, and don’t have actual honey in them made by bees. Our foods have gotten pretty scary. So I at least have to appreciate this product for its effort. Because one has to wonder why I got breast cancer at such a young age when I had supposedly no risk factors whatsoever. This is at least the real deal and it’s certainly better for you than what you can buy at a chain store.

Delicious, Healthy Honey from New Zealand
I love manuka honey for the taste, and for the health benefits; it's expensive, but I've always found it worth the cost (when it's REAL manuka honey, which only comes from N. Zealand). This New Zealand Honey Co. Manuka Honey is the real deal!I was shocked when it arrived, having not really paid attention to what size it would be - the cost (at the time I got it) was around what I would pay for two thirds that amount!!! My first thought was that it couldn't be real deal manuka honey; but reading the entire label, I had to admit it was. So then came the tasting....Delicious. True Manuka honey taste (which has a bit of a medicinal taste, to my palate; but in a good way), perfect texture... we had a winner!!!I take a teaspoonful of it straight (or put it in tea) if I feel as though I'm catching a cold; but, because it's UMF 20+, I can also use it if I get a cut - the antibacterial aspect of it helps speed healing. This is, to me, one of the best manuka honeys I've tried; and definitely worth every penny!

Good quality honey but vague packaging
NEW ZEALAND HONEY Raw Manuka honey UMF 20+ 850+ MGO 17.6 oz. Non gmo, kosher, gluten free, and additive free. The bottle is HUGE!! As it should be for the high ticket price. It came with an inner security seal, too. Sadly the cap was damaged due to poor packaging. Frankly I expected better for such a high-end product. The consistency is thick, dark, and rich. The squeeze-bottle is a good concept but takes a bit of muscle to squeeze out due to the thick consistency and heavy plastic. If you’ve never had manuka, it has a more earthy/almost musky flavor to it than regular honey and is less sweet, imo. I used some to make candied cacao nibs and they were yummy!I do wish the directions for use were more practical and less vague. The packaging infers you can use this for skin care, “active lifestyle”? whatever that means?, or take a spoon a day. I don’t think I could consume a whole spoonful in one sitting. Too sweet! Plus I’m prediabetic and that would definitely spike my blood sugar. Anyways, more ideas for use from the company would be a big help. Just sayin.

Beautiful filtered honey from across the pond!
This is a beautiful jar of unfiltered honey that smells deeper and somehow richer than the honey in my area. I often cook with honey, and made this this week:CRISPY SESAME CHICKENFor the chicken1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1 inch pieces2 eggs beatensalt and pepper to taste1/2 cup all purpose flour1/2 cup cornstarchoil for fryingFor the sauce1 teaspoon vegetable oil1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic1/4 cup honey1/3 cup soy sauce1/2 cup ketchup3 tablespoons brown sugar2 tablespoons rice vinegar1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil2 teaspoons cornstarch2 tablespoons sesame seeds2 tablespoons sliced green onionsPlace the eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl. Stir to combinePlace the flour and 1/2 cup of cornstarch in a shallow bowl or on a plate. Stir to combine.Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then into the flour. Repeat the process with all of the chicken.Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350 degrees FAdd 7-8 pieces of chicken to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Repeat the process with the remaining chickenDrain the chicken on paper towelsWhile the chicken is cooking, combine the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil and 2 teaspoons of cornstarch in a bowl.Mix the sauce ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until just thickened.Add the crispy chicken to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, then serve.
