Wheel locks for my 2012 Wrangler
Great wheel locks. Wish I could have gotten them from McGard instead of Mopar. The McGard locks would have been half the price, but Mopar has the "lock" on this model. The package says that they're not for steel wheels, which worried me at first. I called Mopar and they told me they are for after market alloy wheels only (I checked the ad and it does kind of state that. It says OEM and after market alloy wheels, which I took to mean all OEM wheels, steel or alloy and after market alloy wheels). Mopar said they were concerned about the studs bottoming out inside the wheel lock causing lack of torque on the wheel.I measured the inside of the Mopar wheel lock, the inside of the OEM lug nut and the length of the stud. The wheel lock actually has more room inside than the OEM lug nut. The lug is over 1/8th of an inch shorter than the space inside the wheel lock. So, I installed them, torqued them to specs and drove it. A week later, they were still torqued to specs and also, a week after that. Apparently, they're fine. I've been driving the Jeep for some time now with them on. There was no problem with the spare either.Update - 15 Nov 2013: Still driving, still torqued. No problems. I've been driving with these wheel locks on steel rims over country roads and in the mountains of Montana. As long as they don't change the specs on the studs and wheel locks, I don't see a problem.

Works perfectly with my 2014 Wrangler and appears to be genuine OEM. Much better price than other outlets, and highly recommend

ACTUAL DIAMETER wheel lock size 1.142" & 1.05" key size
The actual diameter of the key is 1.142" and the actual diameter of the wheel lock is 1.05".Why is that info so hard to come by? Could not find that spec anywhere. The key just barely fits into the hole in the cast Aluminum wheels. For example: American Outlaw- LoneStar wheels for a Jeep. The key alone does fit into the wheel hole. But you can not actually thread the nut in. Due to otherwise undetectable micro misalignment. So close. So very, very close. But no it doesn't fit well enough to safely use. IF you lubed the outside of the key cylinder you *might* be able to get the wheel lock nut threaded in. But you'd never get it out again.IF you're determined, you could cut off the unnecessary outer shield of the "key" and it would probably fit then. I'm not that determined. I received the "slightly used, good as new".... Except there was no factory packaging, and no documentation of the key code. Meaning that if I kept this, (I'm not) I would never be able to order a replacement key. So that's the other thing- make sure you get & make a note of the key code. JIC.Why did I give this so many stars when it doesn't fit, was missing the key code, and I'm returning it? The missing key code is the fault of a specific Amazon vendor, not the product. McGuard never said this would fit my wheels. It would have been mighty helpful if they had provided the dimensions though. This has been a review of Mopar Genuine Jeep Accessories 82211405 One-Piece Wheel Lock Kit. I don't know why they call it a one-piece anything. There are 5 wheel locks, plus the 1 key. So that's 6 items in the package. Each of the Wheel locks has a "slip ring" around it to foil attackers. So even each wheel lock is made of more than 1 piece. BTW: in my limited experience, that slip ring did not slip, even a tiny bit by hand. It is supposed to slip if grabbed with pliers or similar, which I did not try.If you're interested, look up: 5 NEW Ways to Remove a Wheel Lock Without a Key on youtube, done by BleepinJeep 4 years ago. He covers this Mopar wheel lock with slip ring at the beginning of the video. He really did good job testing & this Mopar wheel lock pretty much came out on top. It currently has 2.2 Million views.

Lug nuts
Worked to my expectations

Do it for the spare if nothing else
I've owned 3 Jeep Wranglers now and for each one I have bought these for the simple fact of securing the spare tire. Of course I put them on all the other wheels as well, but putting a bicycle chain or anything else just looks tacky. Easy to use, I put them on in my own garage without lifting any tires and used the lug wrench that is in the trunk.
