Little pricey, but is truly 15N20 steel, contrary to some reports some suppliers sell inferior or misrepresented steel. Definitely has contrast welded in layers with 1084 steel. Hardened well and holds an edge.

This metal is horrible. It looks like they grinding one side of it and It has an ugly look to it. I tried grinding it off and it still looks the same. Don't waste ur money. Horrible experience and money wasted. I've had the metal put up since December and if I had known them how bad it was I would have sent it back. The quality is very bad.

Good quality stock. Square and parallel, so easy to work with without a lot of extra prep work.

Absolute dog s&$@ steel! I’ve made three knives with this metal and it won’t harden or etch as 15N20 should. Disgusted with this Chinese garbage! DO NOT BUY! These three knives were made with this 15N20 and 1084 from a US based steel provider. There is no distinction between the alloys.

2 stars only because I haven't tried to forge pattern welded Damascus with it yet but product description says pre-annealed but I went to cut it into smaller pieces with my bandsaw and it would barely bite into it I checked it with a file and these pieces of flat stock are hardened. Will update my review once I start forging it to see if a pattern will appear.

Good steel for knife making, just remember to requench and temper for hardness..!
