Easy setup. From opening the box to fully operational was maybe 30 minutes. 2.4 and 5ghz, IPv6, SSID, everything!!! Replaced a high dollar "best in the business" router at half the cost and it works 10 times better. Hardwired to desktop on old router was max speeds of 925+/-, this bad boy 1450 all day long with no other system or hardware changes. 2000 SF house and in the furthest location from the router with multiple walls between me and the router, I am still getting over 600mps wifi transfer on my phone. So plenty of range and wifi speed. There are solid reasons why this is a consumer reports high point winner.

Very easy to setup. Solved my issues with coverage with out having to buy a mesh system. Great speeds for having a 1gbps connection.

Was quick to setup and install. Once up i reloaded with OpenWRT. Working great!!

I didn’t keep stock firmware on it, but good build quality and keeps up with gigabit fiber internet. Never had no problems with connectivity, or coverage around the house.

I could not figure out how to set it up on a desktop PC. After installing and using the mobile App, it was a breeze. I'm an old fart. I became a computer programmer before CRTs were being used (read; 80 column cards), I still prefer to do things on a desktop. My eyes ain't what they used to be, so using mobile apps can be frustrating.

Product was listed as easy to install. After spending about 8 hours and trying various methods in the instructions, router would not recognize internet to complete installation. Tried calling ASUS to get support. I was transferred to a couple of different people. Each asked for the serial number. That number was taken from the unit, from the accompanying literature and from the box. Each person said that was not a good number but could not offer any solutions as to why the number was not recognized. Even tried in the conversations to distinguish O (letter) and 0 (zero) which did not give good result. Tried talking to ISP to see if that was affecting the installation and they could not offer suitable ideas. Also tried shutting down VPN to see if that was an issue - no result. Unit will be returned.

I have purchased numerous routers and this one is hands down the best one I have ever used by far. Get this router and another cheaper ASUS Ai mesh router and you can cover anywhere you want in your home with complete ease of implementation.
