Packaging in poor condition
Arrived in a box that appeared to not only be old but also to have taken a beating. Could not help but wonder if this was a refurb or a rescue from a flood. It does not get a One Star since the product may be perfect despite appearance of packaging.Edit 12/1/2012. Drum unit worked for a couple weeks then triggered message the drum is near expiration. Had to replace it. Lowered to a 2 rating from a 3. Not giving it a 1 since I did not need it for 2 years.

Doubting Thomasina
I'm still not convinced that it's working properly since I the drum replacement light continues to come on and I get messages from Brother that the drum needs replaced.

Too Expensive
Way too expensive, it would be more cost effective to buy a new printerIf your drum light is on or your printer has a "DRUM STOP" code just do this:1) open toner cover2) hold down "Go" button until all the LEDs are litThat will reset the drum counter and you can print again. Atleast it worked for my HL2270DW

Why would anyone want to buy a drum for $87 when you can buy the whole printer with a toner cartridge for $97?
