I bought it for exactly that same need. The roku Sri I was too long to fit in the cutout space in the TV. I did take my time and used some electrical tape on my fairly worn down HDMI inputs on my Pioneer Elite Receiver. Afterwaards, put it back on the rack and Shazam!!! Works like a dream.
