Won't break like the ceramic kind
works fantastic as a heat deflector and just as good as a skillet. Don't have to worry about it breaking like my ceramic plate setter did.

Item requires seasoning
Unlike the ceramic plate setter this should not crack or break but i’m Concerned about the effect of water on the cast iron. This comes unseasoned so it is necessary to treat it before use. Was not able to access website so I used a generic process for seasoning.

Love this iron plate setter
This one certainly will not crack like the ceramics. I havent used it as a griddle yet. Well made and very reasonable price.

Good, but legs are 1.25" shorter...
Fits the "large" Big Green Egg well and seems to be well made, however, the legs are 1.25" shorter than the standard BGE plate setter. Three stars for now until I see if the shorter legs have an adverse impact...

Vision grill works but it make the grates very high.
I bought for my Vision grill so it requires a modification to fit. Now it’s really nice and no risk of cracking like my previous stones.

Cast iron plate setter
Very heavy duty. Works great in place of ceramic plate setter. Highly recommended.

Great value
I was very nervous since I was not familiar with this brand but it's worked out great and I'm happy to have save about $70 compared to a name brand.

Very high quality
Gives you a great Duane for grilling steaks. Much less fragile than the ceramic plate setter.
