I just put lumps in a bucket of water to make a sludge that I mix with compost. I use a 1:1 mix of sharp sand and potting compost, any general purpose one will do. They don't even mind if you use spent compost in the mix! **Q: is this medium safe to grow micro greens/Sprouting?** A: It's certainly perfectly safe, but it's not the ideal medium. You'd be better buying growing mats (try Marshall's) - although they're meant to be single use, you can dunk them in boiling water and re-use! **Q: Can I use this as organic mulch around vegetables in the garden?** A: Iv used coco fibre as a soil conditioner in very poor soil with mixed results. The plants love it but so do ant's. Thay build what I can only describe as as little nests around the bottom of plant stems with it. Also may cause nitrogen lockout if you use too much. So as a mulch I'd say yes. **Q: Gardenias any good with this soil?** A: Coco Grow is a fantastic growing medium for plants like Gardenias.
