On the plane, I like to sleep on the seat tray in front of me with my head down. This pillow is thick enough that I could use it on the tray table and not feel like I was bent at a 90° angle. I also used it to sleep on the wall of the plane, and upright in my seat. No complaints. I never had any neck, shoulder, or upper back pain because of a bad pillow. The foam is the perfect firmness. It retains its shape after prolonged use without being so hard it hurts. At my destination, I had no pillow for bed. Not a one. I slept on my neck pillow. It was better than about half of the hotel pillows I've ever slept on, and nearly as good as my $100 pillow back home. I was shocked -- in a good way. The clasp on the strap is very (and I mean this) strong. I worried about it after I saw another review that mentioned it being loose and popping open, but I sprinted about 2 miles through DIA with it snapped on to my backpack and it never once came off. The cover is also very very soft and easy to wash. I get pretty anxious on flights, and I found myself petting the cover sometimes to calm me down. It helped a lot. If you need a travel pillow, you won't regret this one!!

Absolutely perfect
I recently traveled internationally and after reading a few reviews, I decided to pick up this pillow. It was everything I thought I needed and more. The pillow is larger than some of the smaller ones I saw other travelers using, and I'm glad it was. On the plane, I like to sleep on the seat tray in front of me with my head down. Not bad for the price
Pros- beautiful color, nice material, carry bag is handy, loop for attaching to bag, decently comfortable, and very affordable Cons- takes awhile to expand when it first arrives, has a very potent smell for a few days, and is made for someone with a thicker neck (I have a more slender neck and it doesn't support very well because it slips around)

Perfect post-op Brain surgery pillow
If you are unfortunate like me and find yourself prepping for this, look no further this is the pillow for you! Holds your head and neck in place unbuttoned or not and I was able to wash it in warm water with Lysol laundry sanitizer. I also highly recommend a blackout eye mask to match.
