This wheel is beautiful at first glance. When you look closer (see photo) cork doesn’t even cover the mesh backing it’s attached to. So the layers are hard plastic wheel, yoga mat, mesh that very thin cork layer is attached to. The gaps in the cork don’t appear to affect its grip in using it though. The seam is an issue. I received it and it’s slightly raised, like it wasn’t cut correctly and slightly too long before being mounted. And when you look at it’s edge you can see that seam is not completely attached to the plastic wheel. Now that’s not a big deal. I have 4 kids and lots of glue, but it shouldn’t be sent out that way. I really want to return it, but time consuming. I’ll consider it for a couple days.

Fabulous purchase! I enjoy it very much. The inside of rhe ring is plastic but can pass for wood. There is a bit of foam between the inside of the ring and the cork layer. It gives a little cushioning and makes the ring more comfortable. I purchased it to deepened my backbends and have left the ring in my bathroom so that I have it handy for frequent stretches.If I can make a request: offer thicker versions for maximum comfort. It does dig into my back if I use it for a couple of minutes.

Y'all, this thing is kinda beautiful. If I saw this in an Ikea, I'd be all like, "Oh, that would look cool on my bookshelf." It's a much more gentle pressure than a foam roller. I was able to relax my back more easily and get some of those snaps, crackles, and pops out of my back on the very first use. I think I'll be using this quite often.

This is my first yoga wheel, and I'm really glad that I purchased it. I'm a yoga beginner, so I wasn't quite sure if I really wanted to spend the money on it, or if I would actually use it. I LOVE it! I have gained so much more flexibility and I feel amazing for days after using it. I have problems with my shoulders, particularly on the back. So I like to lay on this wheel with it under my upper-back/shoulders and lay my arms out and let them hang, which opens up my chest and somehow also alleviates most of the pain in my shoulders. I am 5'4" and I think I would prefer a 12" wheel, but I still love this one.

Was looking forward to this, but there is a large gap in the foam at the seam.

Really well made, solid construction. It came with a nice yoga strap, too. I have only done a few basic excercises, and my back cracked a hundred times. I had a sharp pain in my rhomboids, hopped on the wheel, and felt better instantly. I look forward to discovering more exercises. It would be nice if the wheel came with a sheet of suggested uses, but they did send me an email with some great links.

This is an awesome piece of equipment. I have a wide variety of foam rollers and self massage tools, that I use on a regular basis. The yoga wheel is unique, in that it incorporates a greater stretch, along with that "rolling" feeling. My job requires me to spend a great deal of time in a car and this has taken a toll on my hips (specifically tight hip flexors). I have been spending about 10 minutes a day on this thing, just before going to bed and I am benefitting greatly from it. The yoga wheel just might be the antidote to sitting all day at work. Thank you for a solid and effective product.

I do think this is a good wheel for beginners as smaller wheels cause too much pressure. Although the cork is merely a thin laminate on foam for esthetics, it does provide sufficient cushion for me at 165 lbs. I don’t think it could be any wider before it would dig into your shoulder blades when rolling.I’m giving it 4/5 stars because I think the advert is a little misleading in reference to the cork. Also, I thought I would like the wood grain but in person it looks very fake. It reminds me of cheap furniture I had as a kid.At the end of the day, I do enjoy this roller and I believe it is durable.
