5" Round Apricot Lime & Ginger Fruit Cake

Bought as a present for my father who loves fruit cake. He said it was very nice but he could not really taste the ginger (which is his favourite) so a little bit disappointing in that respect.

The cake was well packaged in transit so arrived in perfect condition. The cake is not housed in a formal blue box as shown above but in a joyously colourfully designed box The cake is simply brilliant. You really get the taste of the apricots, stem ginger and vine fruits. Though it is packed woth fruit it is not too rich or dense as with many cakes. Yes it dose cost quite a lot for it's size though of course quality always costs, but as a gift it would be amazing for the recipient..

This cake was a present for my Mum, 89, Her opinion is it is a really nice cake, full of lovely fruit and gingery. She is hoping for another one for Christmas.

This cake was ordered fo my father's birthday during a time when snow had brought most of Britain to a halt. The cake was two weeks late in arriving, however I still give this company a 5 star rating. The customer service I was excellent, and dealt with all my enquiries in a prompt and professional manner. Emails were courteous and speedily replied to. I really felt the person at the other end of the email really cared about my problem. And when the cake finally arrived - delicious!

My friend who I had it sent to in the UK from Canada told me it was very dense with fruit and she just loved it! I had purchased the Cherry and Almond fruitcake for her and she loved it as well, but said this one was even better.
