I've been the doctor and gotten all the stretches and shots and custom inserts, and none of it helps, but I dutifully do it because I don't know what else to do. Recently it came back bad and I was hobbling around like some creepy hermit from a Disney movie because of the pain. I hit that "F it, I'll try anything" point. I even looked at those hideous shoes that were made specifically to provide relief. But they were expensive, and I would have to wear a bag over my head so as not to be seen on public wearing such hideous shoes. I don't know why they can't make a decent-looking comfortable shoe, but here we are. I ended up ordering these, figuring they wouldn't work either but I wouldn't be destitute for having spent the little amount they cost, and I can still wear my usual shoes. I slid in the inserts with zero hope, and was stunned when I put my shoes on and began to walk. I could walk completely normally with almost zero pain. And I could do it without dropping tons of money on shoes that are too ugly to have any place in civilized society. Within about a week, my plantar fasciitis completely subsided. Normally that requires weeks of stretching, staying off my feet as much as possible, etc. With these I carried on with my normal activities and didn't do a single stretch.
