Dickies Men's Big-Tall Long Sleeve Cotton Coverall

I have a couple pairs of the dickies blended coveralls (polyester/cotton) very scratchy and do not seem to breathe well (in my opinion and i have washed them 7-8 times). These coveralls i washed once the night i got them and after trying them on right out of the dryer i fell asleep on the couch warm and toasty LOL. Zipper is really nice, big tooth metal thing. Cuffs on the sleeves are heavy duty, when you try to fold them back once they are a pain but when you fold them again the fold back perfectly. So i assume that's what they were meant to do. FIT: Large-Tall I am about 200lbs - 6'2 tall. I'm not a meat head, a triathlon runner or a beer drinkin' couch potato. I'm your average guy who enjoys working on the house on the weekend. I ordered a LARGE-TALL because its not baggy in the mid section but i also don't end up with a painful wedgie from my *ss to my b*lls every time i reach over my head. Only "problem" is the legs and arms are a bit long. Which is VERY unusual for me as i wear about a 35-36 waist at 34 length (if i can find them that long). I'm happy tho, for the first time i my life i can cuff my pants if i want to which kinda fits the old school gas station mechanic thing you have going on with these. I assume they are made to wear some layers underneath that's why they have some extra slack. I live in Florida tho, so no layers going on. The ONLY thing i wish they had... wish any damn coveralls had is an arm pocket for a pen (like a flight suit). Putting anything in the breast pocket will cause it to fall out when you lean over unless it has a clip on it. There is a long pocket on the leg that might work but i am leery of getting stabbed in the leg so i have not tried it yet (they call it a ruler pocket, i assume for a reason).

I had to buy a M, XL, and L before I found the size that fit best. As has been written by other reviewers, the sizing can be difficult. I wear a L in Dickies blended fabric coverall, which is more of a fitted fit on me, but these are roomier. I am 6’ 2”, 210 pounds, with a 34 waist, 42 chest, and an athletic build. The medium fit more like the blended large. It was a little snug and was hard to get off of my shoulders, but the length was perfect. I was worried about the shrinkage after washing so I went up to the next available size, XL. The XL was huge and baggy, especially in the waist. I finally found the L on Amazon and I’m glad I did. The large fits big enough to allow for jeans and a thin sweatshirt underneath. I thought that it would shrink more after the first washing in hot water, but I only noticed a slight change in the overall length in the legs and sleeves. Great, thick fabric that should last for many years.

This garment runs large as most have stated. I'm 5'9" and 180 with large chest and shoulders so I typically order XL for upper garments so that they aren't too tight on my chest and shoulders. This item certainly fits the chest and shoulders and is more lengthy than I need, even in the regular length. If they offered a short length I think that would have been a better fit for me. I was going to return it but decided to avoid that and to wash and dry it on high heat to see if it might shrink and shrink it did. It's mostly cotton so I figured it would shrink considerably. It's certainly not a custom fit and I have room for warm clothing beneath it but the length is OK after shrinking. I'm certainly not going to enter any beauty pageant for a slim and snug fit, but I don't think that many of us that are buying this have that interest. I simply wanted something that I could throw over my clothing to avoid ruining it when I ventured into a situation that might involve getting dirty. Hopefully this might help to someone and it's only my experience. The material is pretty flexible and I hope with time and washings it might become even more flexible.

According to the sizing chart and the recommendations of reviewers, I purchased the 3X. I am a 48 waist, 30 inseam, 52 chest. These coveralls covered all with no problem, which is what i got them for. I need these to throw on over my nice clothes when I have to crawl into an attic or crawlspace for building inspection and they do the job. On me, I would say they are a bit baggy, but not to where it is uncomfortable. The sleeve length is fine, and they are a bit loose around the middle, which gives me plenty of room for movement. The legs are probably 36 inches as i have to cuff them. All in all, just what i wanted, in a snappy pattern too. I think i will try the 2X just to see if the fit is better, but i really have no complaints about the fit on these. The zipper and snaps are all heavy duty and easy to operate.

I was actually shocked at how good the materials are! It also seems to be put together well. I'm 6'3" and about 245 pounds, I ordered a XL Regular and it fits me good with some room in length and width. My wife washed it in cold water as directions advise to do and we hang dried it. It's still fitting good. I like the old school look of these coveralls. I have noticed that Dickies brand clothing seems to be better constructed than the other common brand we all know! Read the reviews to figure out sizing, that helped me.

This is my first coverall. The stripes caught my eye and I bought 'em. I was surprised at how substantial they are. I mean, these things actually kept me warm in a very cold garage. They can take some abuse. I drag myself along the concrete floor under vehicles and these coveralls took it. I'm 5'10" 190lbs and bought the Lg/Reg. The top half fits well with clothes on underneath. The legs are too long. In fact, I really need to hem them up about 5 inches. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a thicker coverall.

These fit fairly well when you consider that Large/Regular sizing spans a lot of different sized people. I normally wear a medium-to-large in shirts and 32-36 waist in pants with a 29-31 inch inseam. This set of coveralls fits well on top; the legs are long, but I expected them to need hemming even before I bought them. Unless you wear a 36 length, this will probably need to be hemmed for you. Overall it fits well -- not too loose, but looser than dress clothes or jeans -- but this isn't made to have a tailored fit like dress wear. The material is not quite as thick as denim, but definitely made for above average wear-and-tear. Color is neutral gray pattern and I like the non-navy-blue color as an option so I don't look like I stole this from the oil-change or tire shop down the street.

I am normally a 3X in all things, and while is is designed to go over clothes, it seems to be made more for very tall people than heavy people. The legs are very baggy and length is exceptionally long, and the inseam is quite low on me. I realize that a 2X might have been better, however it is a good fit at the waist and would be afraid of getting it smaller. The material is very heavy weight, and I bet will last and wear a long time. I really like the design and styling of it, even with needing it tailored better to fit me. The description mentions elastic in the waist, but mine had none.

Never thought I'd find myself raving about overalls, but these are fantastic. They actually do look smart enough to wear as casual wear with a very classic style. Material is really nice. At 6'1" and 230 pounds (athletic build going to fat), I ordered large/regular and they fit like they are tailor made (with room to move). Worth the money, I've wasted much more than the cost of these in ruined clothes through not wearing overalls....

Amazing cotton cloth, love the pattern! Fotos show after first wash and few days of wear. 2 cm of sewing (only one stitchline of 2) got loose at right shoulder, but nothing a little Sashiko couldn‘t fix. I‘m 1,90m/95kg and have size L and it fits perfectly.
