Anxiety gone about chaining up.
I drive from Tacoma WA to Mountain Home ID once a week for my route. I used them for the first time on the 2021-2022 winter. I put about 260 miles on my set. They say you should only drive 20mph on these but you can do 25-30 without any issues. I generally keep it at 28mph and call it a day. The cons: These are made of cloth so you need to make sure you try not to run over any chains on the ground as theyโll rip your autosocks. I had 1 autosocks have this problem. Pros: I often jump out of the semi and T-shirt, tennis shoes and shorts. It generally takes me about eight minutes to put five of these on. The biggest change for me was the level of anxiety. Are used to check tripcheck and Washington DOT website over and over to see what the conditions were. Now I do not care. I just drive, and if I got a put them on itโs no inconvenience whatsoever. My company did not pay for them. I get paid by the hour so I add extra on duty time to account for the savings of time to the to put these on versus chains. Hands-down, this is one of the best things Iโve ever purchased for my semi.

This is a must have
These auto socks are awesome! Slip right on. I drove 50 miles here in Oregon even some on the pavement and they didnโt rip or anything. I have super singles. It works great.

So easy better traction than chains
Way better then chains. I put them on all 4 wheels on my 2010 camaro. I can drive snow and ice very easy up any hill until I turn into a snow plow. Several 1000 miles of use and still going. Bought them for several other cars. If you live where you drive in snow you need thease. So easy with better traction than chains.

These things work!
Performed as advertised. Took them down and back up a snowing/icy rough 1 mile road. Half of the road was thick ice. Put them on the front wheels, company says put on rear tires. I try that next time to compare Strongly recommend!!!!

Easy to use, only lasted 20~25 miles before tearing apart
I used these on my motorhome driving in mammoth lakes California. Took me all of about 10 minutes to install four of them. Driving around with them I had no issues and they adjusted themselves around the tires nice and snug. After a day and a half of use on icy roads I went to take them off. That proved to be a much more difficult task, taking well over half an hour trying to pry them back over the top of the tires to get them off, to the point my fingers started bleeding. Maybe I just have very gentle fragile hands, but thatโs besides the point. After finally shimmying them off, I was shocked to realize they were in terrible condition. All four had multiple fist sized holes in them. On one of the socks, the entire elastic backing had torn off. All in all, I would never buy these with the intention of using them more than once. They would only make for a good emergency set of chains to throw in the back of your car or truck, simply for peace of mind that you have some to get you out of a slippery situation. Only as a back up!

They aren't naked tires and they are not tires chains.
I am still in the product testing phase for these AutoSocks. I am hoping that they will serve as a happy medium between chains and no chains when entering and exiting 'sketchy' driveways with my 26k straight truck. Having only used them three times, I am extremely happy with the amount of time it take to don & doff them, cleaniness advantages, and reduced risk of damaging the client's driveway comparable to using traditional tire chains. Durability could use some improvement. You can't take this product hotrodding through the woods or take to spinning your tires with this product. Employees are likely to wreck these very quickly.

These are NOT a viable alternative to snow chains.
My family lives in a very remote part of extreme north eastern Washington state, and we are having the worst winter we've ever had. Our rear-wheel drive Ford F-150 has all-terrain tires that do not have enough clearance for chains (would've been nice to know before, but whataya gonna do). We have been sliding ALL over the road, wound up in the ditch for 10 hours once in early November (no cell service on the STATE HIGHWAY, not even to call 911) so I thought we needed something that would give us traction for our once-a-month grocery store visit (98 mile round trip). We ordered these and used them on the return trip yesterday for about 35-40 miles. The road was covered in ice and snow, and we only put them on once our rear wheels began trying to slide at 20 mph. We drove 20 mph the entire way home; that's the top speed the manufacturer says to go with these installed. We stopped about halfway and checked on them, and they seemed to be ok, but we were on an unlit highway at 9:45 at night. It took us 2 1/2 hours to get over the mountain and within 4 miles of our town where we removed these. They were torn in several places, the black underlining showing through in at least 4 large areas per tire, which means they are unusable. $160 for something we can only use one time? No, ma'am or sir; I want a refund. But when you go to return them, your choices are "Bought wrong part" or "Incompatible, not useful". I had to get in touch with Amazon customer service to explain the situation and make sure I would receive a refund. Almost sliding off a mountain to my death was stressful enough without the "added bonus" of a manufacturer with deceptive information in their product description trying to keep my money. My advice would be to stay far away from these. If you need an emergency product for random off-roading or whatnot, get chains or snow tires. These aren't worth the hassle or stress.

this will fit 255/85-16
took my chances through tyre size comparison since my size is not listed on the fitment guide. Works just fine with the AL64! Coming from chains, I find these socks are amazing. Less weight, less fuss. If you want/ need to use them more than once on the same trip, they need to be kept in the heated area of your vehicle or else they freeze up and become useless. Also: since you can't hear them when on the wheels, make super sure you have taken them off again or they will be toast!
