I researched canned meats w/ long shelf life like crazy cause I’m new to all this. Review’s were positive and gave me the confidence to make my first purchase on a mixed case. Easy to use and the taste was pretty great. First time ordering anything freeze dried. I wanted to try it out b/4 I really needed it. So I prepared Tacos with the ground beef, the chicken, and the pork. All 3 were really good. The 14.5 oz can was just 1.5 ounces shy of a pound of meat that the recipe called for but you couldn’t tell. One can fed 2 ppl easy especially if you have sides. I love there’s only 2 ingredients. Each can list meat on label and sea salt. The texture was like it was shredded at home and the ground beef was perfect. All 3 cans cooked right up. It’s fully cooked so as soon as the food was warm it was ready to serve. Quick. Saving on cooking off grid fuel. I loved the fact that the Keystone website has 39 pages of recipes, too! I think given the quality of meats and long shelf life and that it’s made in Ohio is well worth the price. Not to mention the peace of mind- that’s priceless. I will add but probably shouldn’t, that the tacos were a bit salty but I couldn’t tell if it was the meat or the Taco seasoning package that I used. So I’m not sure. I can tell you that I’m looking forward to making chicken pot pie and other recipes with this product.

Not a dented can anywhere!!!!! Double boxed. Surprised totally as first time ever this has happened buying canned goods that companies hasn’t sent dented cans! Bravo!!!!!! And contents as advertised. Yummy good. Will buy again even tho a bit pricy.

None of the cans were dented, and taste great. Will be buying more as winter approaches.

The price is crazy but the meat inside is real meat and tastes completely normal. The ground beef does include the grease it was cooked in as well. Some people might not like that but I think that's where all the flavor lives! Anyway you can scoop/drain that off when you heat it up. 16 oz a can might not sound like much but this stuff explodes in size when you cook it up. Makes at least 2 meals for me.

Naturally delicious meats with a shelf life of five years sounds too good to be true. My experience is current and the meat tastes fresh today. Give me five years to post again and I will confirm then.

Purchase these and pay $240 to have them adequately shipped and properly stored. Instead we got out of 24 cans 16 damaged. The expiration date is only 4 years, not 5 years. And for the amount of money we paid they were not delivered when they were supposed to be delivered and when they finally got here they were damaged. Absolutely the worst experience. We'll never buy this and I'll probably end up doing a chargeback. Do not trust this product for emergency situations.

As at least one other review noted, I received a product with barely a 4-year expiration date, which is only 80% of the time promised in the product description. When prepping, planning the cost-benefit of emergency supplies is important, so losing 20% of the value on this product is a problem. So far, the product quality is as expected - decent for canned meat. Would be at least 4 stars if it was actually a 5-year shelf life. Ordered in Nov 2025.

Have not eaten/cooked with these, but have tasted them through a friend (which is how I discovered Keystone Meats) and I have no doubt they will be perfection when we need them!!
