The salt and pepper grinder works & looks great. The height is about 9 inches. The grinder is adjustable but I have not made any changes. The grinder has a cap on each side of the grinder. Instructions indicate that you should not use the grinder until it is filled with salt & pepper. The grinder unscrews easy for filling. Great little grinder.

I LOVE that I can get a very fine grain of pepper and no big chunks slipping into my food! I DISLIKE THAT No instructions so not sure how to clean before first use and maybe missing a rubber washer—or may have lost when opened because, again, no instructions. Was able to find a rubber washer and now it works! Overall, I’m pleased with how it works, but debated if I would need to return it.

Christmas present for my husband - these were twice the price at our local stores so was a little leary when ordering. But it works great, love the fact that it is one unit for both salt and pepper and my daughter really liked it too so she wants to get one for herself. Overall, great value for the price, you can adjust grind size, other reviewers didn’t like the swiffe name printed on it but honestly it is very suttle, and the caps at the ends stay on securely and are not hard to pop off.

I've had my grinder for about 2 years, completely broke yesterday. It worked fine, but enough flaws that I won't buy another replacement. About two weeks after purchasing it, it separated in the middle - the silver band is just glued to the salt and pepper sides. Some super glue fixed it permanently. It looks nice and takes up very little space. It works fine, it has an adjustable grinder for both sides, the size of the grind isn't super consistent, but you get what you pay for. I'm not sure about the stainless steel quality, as I started to get corrosion on it pretty quickly from the salt. The caps never fit snuggly and would fall off all the time, so they were tossed pretty quickly. The downside is that without the caps, it makes a mess, so I keep it on a small tray with my oil bottle. The final straw came yesterday when the salt grinder seized up after trying to adjust the size of the grind. Tried to gently twist with some pliers and the post that runs through the grinding part, completely separated from the grinding burr. Couldn't be fixed. Will be looking at other brands for a replacement.

I always like to have a grinder on our table for pepper and salt. I tried a few 2 in 1's but I found it difficult to switch from pepper to salt and vice versa. I found this product which is 2 in 1 but I don't need to switch. It's simple as flipping a coin. IMHO, the price is cheap for the quality and design. It just adds so much taste and flavor to make an elegant table.

Originally, I was looking to replace my pepper grinder. After 20 years of service it has finally worn out. I have not rated this product on durability yet as a little more than a month of use is too soon.(See Update Below) Pros: 1) It does what it's supposed to do. 2) It looks great on my kitchen table and stores away on my kitchen counter when not in use. Cons: 1) Directions are printed rather small and are hard to read without a magnifying glass. 2) End covers designed to prevent excess pepper or salt grinds from falling onto food or table keep falling off. I once had to retrieve a cover from a bowl of hot soup. Very annoying! It is for this defect alone that I was tempted to give a one star rating! UPDATE 10/12/2021 The salt grinder has failed. Regardless of setting it only grinds large chunks of salt. So much for durability. I cannot recommend purchasing this product! Rating now 1 star.

I've purchased several salt and pepper grinders over the years in my search to find the Holy Grail of grinders. My search has ended. This is a handsome and functional grinder. The course to fine setting works like a charm. My wife likes her salt & pepper at a VERY fine setting. This one does the job. The caps at each end help keep things tidy on the shelf or table. The seller contacted me after the sale to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. I heartily recommend this item and this seller.
