This is AMAZING
This product is amazing. I consider myself a competent gardener, and I know my yard. I can not believe how much better the trees (maple, dogwood, and witch hazel) and shrubs (ink berry, coral berry) look. When you first plant new trees you expect some time for the plant to recover and start growing. Everything I've added this to, started growing so well.I even added it to a maple that's was not doing great, already planted, and I could tell a marked difference in plant health after a few days.

Does NOT emulsify in water.
Product does NOT emulsify in water. Very difficult to mix for application. Won't purchase again. Too much trouble.

Small amount needed
It's not a very large packet but you don't need very much either. As a general rule I use this type of product whenever I transplant something. Adding these nutrients to the soil helps the plant to establish itself more quickly in it's new location. I can't really tell you how it compares to other such products except that my plants have seen no harm from it and are happier in general. I use other products as well to give them what they need so it's difficult to distinguish more specifically than this.

Little package makes a lot
I mixed up a batch for my underperforming Black Hills spruce and will see if it has an effect. The package makes over 30 gallons, so I will try several applications. One concern is that the Oregon Mycorrhizae will survive in Zone 4 where we live (or if the zone matters). If I see results, I will update the review.

A little bit goes a long way
I like that this powder is so condensed - it doesn't feel like you are getting very much but this two ounce package makes 39 gallons of fertilizer. That is a bargain considering how little this costs and as such, I have high hopes that this fertilizer will help me with my black thumb.

Nice size bag, not as many different mychorrhizae as some
It is, of course, impossible to review the effectiveness of this particular brand of mycorrhizae because there is no way to compare to others or to not using it at all without conducting a scientific experiment. But I can attest to the value of using these in general. They work and they are recommended by horticulture experts. I've used various brands for decades, especially in sandy soil, and now in older clay soil. My plants have done much better with mycorrhizae. This particular brand has fewer mico varieties than others I have used, and so I took away a star. In terms of value, it is in line with other brands. The 2 ounce package is nice to avoid spending a lot on more than you need at one time (I have stored mine in the refrigerator, and would like not to have to do that.) I have a yew bush that is suffering and am hoping that this will help to save it, along with other treatments. This package mixes with 3 gallons of water. I estimate this will treat a 2 or 3 larger shrubs (water the ground, not the foliage.) The goal is to get the mycos onto the roots, where they then should multiply and improve the soil and, therefore, the plant. This comes from Oregon, which has been the source of m earlier purchases of myco.
