Bay Area Bike Rides Deck: 50 Rides for Mountain, Road, and Casual Cyclists

These little cards have it all! My mother bought me this as a little girl and I have again replaced it since it was stolen/lost throughout our move across the states. These card are just owning remembered!Detailed maps on each card, with routes and stops along the way, also describing the difficulty level for each route. Another awsome feature is that each path is marked off trail, or trail or paved pathway!

Just got this and though I haven't actually been on any of the rides yet, I'm really impressed with the level of detail in the cards. I'm also happy with the variety of rides/distances/points of interest in the deck. My husband and I are looking forward to trying some of these out!

This is what my son in law said about this book. He is using it frequently and says he loves it. Even though we have GPS etc. and the Internet, it is still great to plan a trip with a map that gives helpful tips and suggestions.

I do love this deck of bike ride cards. But now I want more and broader. Its a great idea.

What a smart idea. This deck of 50 bike routes comes in a durable box that keeps the cards in good condition. The cards themselves are of a sturdy coated cardstock that you can easily take along with you, without having to lug an entire book. Brilliant!The cards are color coded - brown cards are off-road, green cards are paved and blue cards indicate a waterside route. Within these three categories, riders can select from a great variety of routes: long or short, hilled or flat, easy to difficult. You can travel on-road, over creeks, through mountains, around reservoirs, down hills and along the sea. Skill levels range from casual to expert.The 50 routes span a large geographical range throughout the Bay Area. Each card has a detailed map and excellent written instructions that are sure to keep you on route. My husband loves this deck. It was a great introduction to the fabulous bike routes of the San Francisco Bay Area. Recommended.

these are a great idea! everything you need but not much more - the map with only the roads you need, the elevation profile, brief route description and mileage log/legend that indicates turns, climbs, and even where to get water or food (you wouldn't get the info on locations of water fountains, foodmarkets or scenic outlooks from regular maps).The cards fit easily in the jersey backpocket and are sweatproof. Easy to glance at/read while riding. Must have!
