I bought this set for my Son as a Christmas gift. The reviews I read about it were mixed but leaned toward good for the value. My son uses this set weekly for all kinds of projects and he loves it. Good quality glass and just well made overall

Super nice kit and I want to like it, but the cooling tube is crack super minor, but caused a nitric acid leak and I had to use UV curing resin to patch it. Amazon also will refuse to replace or refund this item if it’s broken or damaged

Heat pad was not strong enough had to buy another one.

The supplied heat plate doesn't get hot enough to get vapor to the top of the second vapor bowl.

Great quality glass. I’m really impressed for the price. You can’t really beat it. This is a great set up. I’m about to try our first distillation of vanilla as we speak. After the attempt I’ve found that the heating plate is not compatible with the setup. The base is too large and therefore not distributing the heat well enough to actually boil the water. But really, if you’re serious about any of it, get yourself a proper heater, one the you put the flask inside and it heats all sides and the bottom, they come with magnetic stirring options as well. At least the glassware is top of the line :-)

Excellent quality. Very Well packed. The company Vevor has great products and prices. There is quite the variety of products available for every part of the home (or business).

This kit does not work. I had to buy another heat plate because the one provided will smell your whole house with chemical. The flask is most likely too big, because the unit never evaporates the water into the condensing unit. Tried to get product support and they don't want the unit back. I think I might have lost $250 on this unit that, I hoped would work
