I really love this! It is very good on it's own but you can also tweak it to make a fabulous vegetable pasta dish. Try adding wilted spinach or chard, peas, courgette, extra herbs, a little garlic, broad beans, french beans for example. I cook my vegetables in a pan with olive oil, add the sauce and let it down a little with some of the pasta water then toss in the pasta. Serve with a little parmesan and it's perfection!The sauce is quite thick and creamy with a flavour which is robust enough to take the addition of vegetables and without losing its own flavour. It's equally as good on it's own. Fabulously quick and easy to make a tasty meal.I also find that the way I'm using it, it will allow for 6 very generous portions. If used straight from the jar onto pasta it should coat enough pasta for four people (as before, add a little pasta water to loosen it if the consistency is too thick).Great value, great flavour, great versatility.

Do not buy, had an unpleasant reaction after consuming product. Two people from my household had the same reaction.

I'm not usually one for creamy sources but this has a very very pleasant smooth sauce mix that falls you into thinking it's made with high quality cream but without the greasy slimy texture when cream is used thoroughly enjoyed using it for pasta bakes in lasagna's loads and loads of other recipes uses for this

As 'empty nesters' now we have more time on our hands and more refined taste - I much prefer fresh pasta served with a pesto and with fresh vegetables.This has a nice spicy kick to it, with the Sriracha flavour very evident. You get good coverage from one jar - way too much in fact for just two people. It's okay in terms of value - works out at under 2 quid a jar, based on current price but there is no real texture to the 'chunky' vegetables and there is no danger that you'd mistake them for fresh ones.Still has its place in the family larder for many as the basis of a cheap meal, and Dolmio is probably the best of the jarred pasta sauces that are out there.Hard to go back to though once you've tried a nice fresh pesto sauce with your own added veg.- - - - - - - - - -Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge.
