It lights up for easy reading when the sun goes down and was made with. quality metal and glass. I was a bit concerned with the set-up instructions, which you need to take slow. When I added the batteries and turned it on, The hands began to move and settle on 12:00. I started to freak out about repacking it to return. I re-read the instructions where I missed that it was supposed to do this while it tuned into the satellite system. By the time I finished the instructions the second time, it was already moving to the current time. If you have kids, you might want to do set-up with them, as they will probably get a kick out of the clock setting itself. The instructions did say that you might have trouble setting it during heavy storms and/or in areas that would block the satellite signals, but the heavy thunderstorm I was experiencing did not seem to effect the performance of the clock. Review: Unusual but well worth the money - I was expecting to be able to set this clock up quickly but then realized as I read the instructions that it has to receive a radio frequency signal that allows it to set the time on its own. It took several tries and I ended up taking it outside and putting it on the seat of my Chase lounge so that it would have better access to the radio signal. Once I did this it's set the time of exactly as to what it was supposed to be at that moment and did it automatically. I have hung it up in my house and it continues to give absolute correct time. There are two containers on the backside that take two diesel batteries each. There is also a compartment for a single AA battery which actually helps to get the radio frequency started once you insert the battery. It is a very classy and conservative looking clock and I really like it. ## Features - [Atomic Analog Wall Clock with Smart LED Light Sensor Technology]-This unique 18" large outdoor atomic wall clock is with integrated light sensor that automatically activates a warm, ambient dial backlight during dark conditions, shuts off in normal daylight; simple 1 x AA battery for clock atomic movement ,4 D size batteries for LED light sensor, not included;the clock lights up reliably about 6 to 12 months, depending on the environment it is hung on;2 Backlight Modes - Always On, Always Off - [Atomic Time-Accurate to the Second] - The Atomic Time Feature conveniently allows the clock to sync with the WWVB radio transmission from Fort Collins, CO, for accurate time updates, and no more worry about Daylight Saving Time any more, our outdoor atomic clocks sets themselves! We needed a clock out on our deck, but we didn't want one that dominates, forcing us to know what time it is. This clock stays in the background, unnoticed except when we want to know the time. We like the illuminated face. It's very attractive, but without demanding attention. The size is perfect - it's large enough to see from across the deck, but not oversized. The numbers are also large, making it easily readable. We're glad it's an atomic clock that checks in every couple hours to make sure it's still accurate. We're glad it's water resistant, built for outdoors. ## Frequently Bought Together - CLXEAST 18 Inch Illuminated Outdoor Indoor Atomic Analog Wall Clock with Temperature & Humidity, Lighted Outdoor Clocks for Patio Large Waterproof with Thermometer,Bronze Finish,House Warming Gifts - Duracell Coppertop D Batteries, 4 Count Pack, D Battery with Long-lasting Power, All-Purpose Alkaline D Battery for Household and Office Devices --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/615745672-in-outdoor-atomic-clock](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/615745672-in-outdoor-atomic-clock) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
