Outstanding
For anyone who has the older, square Loboair adapter and is wondering if this new one might work better: BUY IT. Well, and try it, and see if it works better for you. But I can tell you this new one is worlds apart from the older one in my experience (and in my car, and the car matters).I've had the older, square Loboair adapter for quite a while now and have been half happy and half exasperated with it, because that's about how often it worked in my car without needing to be babysat, unplugged and plugged back in, etc.: about half the time.I saw this new one had come out and I just got a feeling from the seller's copy about it and the reviews that it might work much better than the older model, so I bought it, figuring that if it worked better, well fantastic, and if it wasn't an improvement I could just use Amazon's awesome easy return process to send it back.I won't be sending it back. Now my car is relatively obscure – it's a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Sedan, and there aren't lots and lots of them on the road. At one point, I took my car in for recall service and was given a 2024 Hyundai Elantra loaner. Because I didn't want to be without wireless CarPlay while I drove the loaner car, I snagged my older, square Loboair wireless CarPlay adapter out of my car and plugged it into the loaner car, and lo and behold: it worked a lot better in the loaner car than it did in my car. And this was how I discovered that these wireless CarPlay adapters behave differently in different cars. They're just more compatible with some cars than with others, I guess. And my square Loboair adapter was not as compatible with my car as it might be. I applied all the available software updates, and it still did not work as reliably with my car as I would like, continuing to have the approximately 50% success rate (by which I mean it would work as it should without my having to unplug it and plug it back in at any point during my drive).I finally got tired enough of this that I decided to take my chances with this new version to see if it might be an improvement over the old one – if it might be more compatible with my particular car. And wowie is it ever. Even when the old one worked perfectly with my car, I still had to manually tap the CarPlay button on my car's screen to switch to CarPlay; with this new adapter, I don't even have to do that. I've discovered that if I start my car and just don't touch the screen at all – I don't dismiss the warning screen that tells you not to drive into trees and rocks and telephone poles and things but I just wait for it to dismiss itself – then when that screen goes away, I will (almost always) be dropped seamlessly into CarPlay without my having to tap the screen at all. With this new (oval) Loboair adapter, wireless CarPlay works in my relatively old, relatively obscure car like I expect it does in brand new cars that have wireless CarPlay from the factory. It works seamlessly, effortlessly, reliably. It's my wireless CarPlay dream-come-true.This review is kind of all over the place I think, but the take away is this: if you have the old version of the Loboair wireless CarPlay adapter (or if you don't) and you'd like to take a chance on getting seamless wireless CarPlay in your vehicle, buy this adapter and try it out. Worst thing that can happen is that it won't work as well for you and your car as it does for me and mine, and you'll have to return it using Amazon's crazy-easy return process. But I do highly recommend that you try it. It's changed my CarPlay-related world and it might do so for yours too.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM
When I got my new 2024 Kia Sportage, I was genuinely inconsolable when I found out that the apple carplay wasn’t wireless. I thought my life was over, and I’d have to be slave to plugging my phone in. I had gotten one adapter off of Amazon and it was TRASH.BUT THEN I got this bad boy and it SAVED MY LIFE. It works so well. It’s easy to set up and use and is very tiny and out of the way. I am in and out of my car all day long, whether I’m gone for an hour or a minute, and it has no problem connecting to my phone whenever I get in the car. All my car buttons work and all the apps that are compatible with apple carplay work seamlessly. Yes, there is a small bit of a delay, however, I experienced that in my last car that had wireless CarPlay. I have had this for a month now and it works well even on the hot days we’ve had so far. Sometimes it takes a minute for my phone to connect with it, but only a minute and I don’t have to press anything before they both recognize each other.I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this product. And if you’re tired of plugging in your phone this is the one for you.

Worked long enough to outlast the return window
I purchased this item in early April to replace a cheaper dongle that only worked when it felt like it. It worked great for a while but about a week ago it started being a bit more undependable. A couple of days ago it stopped altogether and no amount of unplugging and reconnecting would bring it back. Total black screen. I went to the site on Amazon where I had bought it and saw the following statement: [After-sales Service Contact us at any time if you have any problems with our CarPlay wireless adapter, and we will provide you a satisfactory shopping experience.] Unfortunately, there is no number to contact them and despite going to the Loboair website the only way to contact them seems to be a number that results in a taped message that tells you that the 30 day return window has closed. I already knew that but I didn't think this item was only good for less than 60 days. I do not recommend buying this item unless they have a better support system than I have been able to find. I find their assurances of support to be at best misleading and at worst, well much worse!

Works great. Easy install. Sound is a little muddy but alright. Pretty good product over all.
After returning another product that frustratingly would not connect to my phone, I was upset. When I came upon this product, I ordered it. I was very excited when this product connected right away with no trouble. It is very small and comes with a piece of adhesive tape (stuck in the instructions) so I could stick it up out of the way. It has always reconnected to my phone automatically and carplay opens up on my truck radio. I am using this in a 2019 Chevy Colorado. Sound quality is definitely not as clear as using wired car play.. it is almost like a degraded compressed muddy sound... but isn't a deal breaker given how easy everything else works and doesn't sound completely awful. Waze is responsive and it is easy to update the firmware on the device if needed. I recommend.

Pretty good
It lags a little bit more than if I were to plug my phone in but overall works well. Easy to use and nice to not have to plug my phone in. Good value, a lot cheaper than others I looked at.

Great product works as described
After seeing a whole bunch of ads on social media I originally ordered a magic link for more than double the price and the product just didn’t work at all. I had to return it.Ended up ordering this for wireless CarPlay and it worked perfectly. No issues at all and easy to set up. No noticeable latency either.
