Bought this little number for the pool and for when I'm driving around in my Jeep with the top down. Love snaps on the side and the coverage it gives to my face and neck. Wanted to replace a wicker hat that I have placed in my luggage and destroyed. This one is nice cuz it can just get thrown in a bag and take it with me wherever I go. Just took it with me on a trip to Texas and used it while we were branding my father-in-law's cattle. Fits well, nice value, and has good quality feel.

I love these hats. I have two of them. They're well made. Unfortunately they put the two holes that anchor the chin strap too far back so it hangs in front of the outside of your ear. No hat I've ever worn has the strap hanging in front of the middle of the ear or behind the ear. It's always right in front of the ear. I am no expert. Wasn't it the dead guy Mark Twain that said: "An expert is someone who can spit over a boxcar"? But I do have 70 years experience wearing various hats. The head knows. The ears know.Since the hat looks the same front and back I just wear it backwards so the seam and the label inside is in the front, which is psychologically damaging to me but I think it's worth it because the hats are well made and the appearance is identical front and back.Now if they would just make the brim an inch longer in the back, I mean the front so that it covers your neck a little more. Like I said it's a good hat. Is this where they got the expression mad hatter? No one compensated me for this I paid for my hats and they are five star hats.......... if you wear them backwards.

I needed a replacement for the straw hats I have been using. I need complete blocking of the sun. Although this is a one size fits all, it does the job while not being to hot to wear because it is cotton instead of polyester or blend of fabric, it feels cooler to wear. best of all, it's not as expensive as some of the other straw hats I have used. The drawback is that it can get a little floppy with the fit.

This boonie hat became a better hat after I washed it in the washing machine and tumbled it in the clothes dryer. After that I steam pressed the brim to help get the deep creases out from shipping. This is my first floppy hat, and it's just that, floppy. From the picture I thought it was going to be made out of some heavy canvas or denim, but it's actually made of some type of soft fabric, almost velvety because it's so soft to the touch. I ordered mine in black, and it washed well. I wouldn't call it rugged, but it is durable because it survived the wash.

I needed a hat for a Halloween decoration, and choose this one for the low cost. I wasn't really expecting it to be good quality at all, but when I took it out of the package I could not believe how nice it and soft it really is. I left it on the kitchen counter and when my husband saw it he tried it on and really liked it too! I ordered 2 more and plan to give them as Christmas gifts for my outdoor loving friends!

The hat has a sweat band, and it feels like it is nylon or polyester. It definitely does NOT feel like cotton. Also, there is a thin white lining in the hat part (that sits on your head) and it also feels like polyester or nylon. I wanted a 100% cotton hat for several reasons, and this is described as 100% cotton. It does not appear to be accurate. I don't want polyester or nylon (or some other unknown material - what is it?) against my head and skin. Due to the sweat band and lining, I wonder if the chin cord is 100% cotton? I can not tell for sure. A hat should not say 100% cotton if it is not.

A good, comfortable hat if your hat size is no more than 7 1/2. I bought two of them. I washed the hats by hand and ironed the brim dry to get the wrinkles out. Great buy, especially if you get it on sale.

I bought this for a Santa grab, wow, it was traded lots. Everyone wanted it. Well made and anyone could wear it. Most wanted it for when they mow or garden this summer. Priced right and very nice.
