MyLifeUNIT Airtight Stainless Steel Paint Brush Cleaner, 13.5oz/Medium

I'll start off with my one and only complaint, and it's that upon arrival when opening the lid, it had a STRONG fishy odor which I know can happen to things stored in specific warehouses sometimes but it was very gross so I let it soak overnight with hot water and dish soap which has since removed the smell. I added water and locked the seal, flipped it upside down and shook it like my life depended on it as I know some reviews said it wasn't good. Personally, no leaks whatsoever here. I do wish I had seen there was a larger size listed as this one is a bit small (fits in the palm of my hand) but it gets the job done and the smaller size is better for conserving space and portability.

Seals tightly - no leaking. Keeps my painting supply bag dry. Easy to transport paint thinner from home to class to outside sessions. Plenty big enough.

It is better than just finding a glass jar to put water in. And cleans the brushes good. Like that it comes with a lid too.

I got this to carry odorless mineral spirits outside for oil painting. It doesn’t leak, has a secure lid and a nice perforated screen and brush wiping clip in the inside. Be careful with how you hold onto the wire bail as it will pop off and drop the container if you stress it too much. I think I’ll turn the wire ends with a small needle nosed pliers to prevent that.

Perfect size!! Easy to handle. It’s very sturdy and can go anywhere.

Can't say how they work for artists, but they work well so far for keeping my sprayer tips clean that we use to spray sealer to fresh concrete. I keep the tips in Xylol and especially appreciate the little basket to lift the tips out and not have to stick my fingers in or dump the chemical to get them out! We use to keep them in Gatorade bottles...1 out of 10, would not recommend! And the fact that these live in concrete trucks should tell you all you need know about their durability. I'd highly recommend and buy again.

Got this for my mom as a Christmas gift and she loves it! I don't know anything about painting, but she said the strainer portion works great for keeping brushes clean and the top seals well. I went with the large size based on other reviews and I'm glad I did as I'd be worried about the smaller ones tipping with longer brushes in them.

I bought this because I needed an airtight container to keep thinned wood finishes from drying out. With the basket in place, I can just stuff the rag in the pot and when I'm ready to use it, I just give it a gentle shake and it's ready to go. I start with a 3:1 mix of solvent and tung oil, then with each coat just add more tung oil, which gives an ideal finish. Since the oil never cures, I don't have to worry about the spontaneous combustion issues. I plan on buying a few more of these, they're very handy.

I wish I could return all the cheap plastic water containers & brush washers I ever bought.. because this item is so far superior! I'm glad I went with the large size because it suits my purposes perfectly.. it's a cute, fat, little pot lol. I'm a home artist, big fan of mixed media & painting. I saw an instructor use one of these on Skillshare, figured I'd check it out. And surprise, it's AWESOME :) This was designed SO well, I just love it. The brush washer removes the paint pigment & it sinks down leaving you with cleaner water longer. The size works, even my longest handled brushes don't fall out. Even the lid is useful as a mini pallet or brush rest. It's just so nice to get a product that is of great quality but also well designed. The brush scraper/ water wringer bar is so simple yet so helpful. Seals well, great little carrying handle. I have one teeny tiny con: the brush washing basket tends to wiggle around a bit inside the pot, can feel a tad unstable if there's a few big brushes in there. Would be perfect if the basket sat solidly or locked in somehow. Aside from that, I would def buy this as a gift for an art friend and would very much recommend this to anyone that likes art & paint!

Hasn't leaked yet and bigger than the average brush washer

Arrived slightly marked at the base which was strange since it was packaged so thoroughly? The handles are very sharp and resulted in cuts on my fingers. I found it difficult to open due to the sharpness of these clamps. For $40 it is very disappointing and certainly not up to the quality I was expecting.

Great item . Secure clamps with no leaking in transport . Will purchase again .

This brush cleaner container is great. I bought the Large size and was pleasantly surprised to see that it has three latches to seal the lid. ( I was expecting just two). I don’t know why I waited so long to purchase a designated brush cleaning can…..already my colours are less muddy as my brush is getting much cleaner.
