Review: Clarks are great shoes, especially when they fit properly! - This is the first pair of shoes I ever purchased that fit perfectly right out of the box; I didnโt want to take them off! I bought them with the thought of wearing them around the office but are wearing them at home as slippers - they are that comfortable. I used to wear Clarks all the time, but noticed the brick-and-mortar stores are disappearing. Also, their quality has gone down slightly, in my opinion, but still one of the most comfortable dress/casual shoes I can find. I have a size 14, AAA (narrow) width. I have loathed buying sloppy fitting shoes online since I was 13 years old when size โ11โ was nonexistent in my tiny home town. My parents would trace my foot on a piece of paper and mail that to the โBig and Tallโ - as instructed - so they could send crappy fitting shoes that I would have to wear. Living in the big city now with hundreds of stores that sell shoes, finding a reasonably priced 14 narrow is still nearly impossible. If they do have a 14 (which is rare; most go up to โ13โ), they only have it in wide. Iโd buy the ill fitting 14 anyway and reason I can pull them in with the laces to fit. This kind of works for soft-sided low cut boots and tennis shoes, but not for loafers and dress shoes. While a narrow โAAAโ width online is still tougher to find, I can get โmedium widthโ which fits much better than flopping around in EEโs. With the great return policies online, it was way past time to reconsider online shoe purchases to get the size I need (this seller provided a free shipping label to send them back if I didnโt like them). Also, the price was roughly $50 LESS than I used to pay in the store... where a kid that knows nothing about shoes could fetch boxes from the back room. IF YOU HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES, I recommend that the next time you are in any store that sells shoes (especially, when the shoe-box-fetching-kid is not around) slip your shoes off and use that cool, NASA-engineered-looking metal shoe size instrument (called a โBrannock Deviceโ)... stand up straight and measure both feet and note your left and right sizes (they may differ from left to right, so you might have to go up a size just for one foot to ensure both feet are comfortable at all times) and if they donโt have your extra narrow/wide or extra long/short... just order what you want online from a seller that does have your size and has a great return policy. All that said, I have long known that identical sizes of different brands fit much differently - especially tennis shoes. But knowing and ordering your size within a trusted brand works much better for us unusual foot-sized people. (Clarks have always been pretty consistent with the โBrannock Device.โ) Now go search โBrannock Deviceโ and learn how to use that thing. Great shoes! Review: Extremely comfortable shoes, but problems with stitching - Let me tell you little story: I ordered these with birthday money because I got a new job with a business casual dress code and I needed to replace the Clark's loafers I'd had for ten-or-so years. It was a whole month before I had the opportunity to wear them, so the first time I actually wore them other than simply trying them on to see if they fit was Day One of my new job. I didn't do anything rigorous in them all day, as I was in training class all day, but when I got home, I noticed an inch-long separation in the stitching in the upper. After just one day! I came back to my desertcart app to see if I could exchange them and it turns out that that day was a few days past the cut-off date for returns. So I'm stuck with them. But all is not lost. They're still extremely comfortable, so I'm just going to find a cobbler (shoe repair guy or gal, not the dessert--although apple cobbler sounds really good right now) and get the stitching repaired. They're definitely worth keeping even if I have to "foot" the bill! They're impressively lightweight. The sole is pretty much the same material as Crocs, so, yeah, really lightweight and pretty durable. The leather is good and breaks in flawlessly. Plenty of room without being too roomy. They feel like bedroom slippers and I find myself often looking down at my feet to make sure I'm wearing shoes. Very comfortable and good-looking with good tread on the soles. I just hate that there's that separation in the stitching. I still wear them because they feel good.

Extremely comfortable shoes, but problems with stitching
Let me tell you little story: I ordered these with birthday money because I got a new job with a business casual dress code and I needed to replace the Clark's loafers I'd had for ten-or-so years. Great fit, but flat and getting holes in socks.
Comfortable shoe, easy to slip in and out of (stays snug too) light weight as well. I have an older pair of Clarkโs and wanted another pair! The only thing that bothers me with this new pair is that they are too flat. If the front part of the sole curved up more, I wouldnโt be getting holes in my socks above my big toes. My old pair never did that. I hope they will break in better, but seems like the rubber soles have a memory, so time will tell.

Great shoe, I wish the sole were more durable
I love this shoe. I am in my 4th pair! Very comfortable and good looking. Great for walking and for seating, easy to take off and put on and proper for almost any occasion-- be it a night on the town or a hike in a forest. I have only one complaint. I walk a lot. After about a year the upper leather continues to look like new, however the sole is completely worn out, so I have to get a new pair. Still, a great shoe that I use every day. unless you hike a lot the shoe will last you much longer than it lasts for me...

LOVE them
Years ago I was shopping for shoes and Clarks looked good but they felt too light.. To me, I thought that felt cheap so I didn't buy them.. That was a big mistake. I had purchased some Johnson and Murphy's that were great, but subsequent purchases of that brand were inconsistent. While on a trip, at one point I bought some Clarks, still feeling light, but I realized that the J&Ms were sooo heavy.. The Clarks felt wonderful on my feet and didn't wear my feet out.. I can say the same of these Clarks. Now my second pair, but a different design. Their build quality and comfort are awesome. They are light, buy don't make the mistake I did. They are not cheap. Great quality, good looking and comfortable. I'm on my feet on concrete, all day, every day. These are wonderful!

Too large
I have several different style Clark shoes that are very comfortable and well made. The sizes of these shoes are 10W, 1/2 smaller than my actual size of 10-1/2EE. I purchased the Vanek at 10W and it was still too large. Reluctant to try anything smaller. This being said, although shoes seem to be well made and are comfortable, I am returning them.

Quality, lightweight walking shoes that look nice enough to wear to the office
Much lighter than any other similar shoe. Fits well without heel issues. Good flex in the sole. Comfortable walkers. Seems well built with only a slight glue blemish. These are stitched together shoes, not glued together shoes with fake molded "stitches" that fall apart within afew months. I expect to get at least a year out of these wearing them a few times per week.

Fits great. Doesn't squeeze my foot.
This shoe is true to what it says about being a wide fit. I have a wide foot and this shoe feels like it is not squeezing my foot from the first time I wore them. The only thing that I found different is the back of the shoe is loose on my heel. So it flops a little. But that could be to my foot being wide.

Excellent shoes for large feet
The size 13 shoes are perfect for this 6'3" man. They were comfortable from the first moment that I put them on. After wearing them for a few months, I can tell you that the quality is excellent. It is a relief to find real leather/rubber shoes still for sale, while everyone else goes to total synthetics. I can only guess at the durability, but I could see them holding up for years. I hope that Clarks will remain with Amazon for a long time.

Nice enough to use as slippers, in my opinion...
Perfect for me. I will use them for one formal occasion, then use them as loafers for loafing around the house. They fit as expected and are comfy. The soles are definitely not outdoor-type, so I will be sure to avoid wet ground and especially icy conditions.

Good office shoes, but just a little too large of a fit.
As mentioned in the headline, these shoes are good office shoes, but just slightly too large of a fit. I won't hold this too much against them. It's hard to satisfy everyone's foot size out there. I'm sure there are better office shoes on the market, but for the price, these are keeping me happy. I strictly wear these at the office, nowhere else. These are just my observations, so take them with a grain of salt. +not heavy +comfortable (provided you don't stand all day) +price I paid seems fair ($58) +look good (brown pair) +good quality from what I can tell so far -slightly too large -not the very best grip, but that really doesn't matter too much At least 7/10, maybe 7.5/10

Very good design shoes.
It is a very nice and good design shoes. I like it. Only confuse at when I order i saw it is rubber sole, But when I got it, it shows synthetic. Maybe Amazon made mistake.
