This water heater has an excellent price and works well, but it is tricky to install. I hired professional plumbers to do the installation. The company sent out two very young plumbers and they did what looked like an excellent job, but the water flow was never right. It was much weaker than the cold water side of the same faucet, and before they added this heater the hot water side flowed just as strong as the cold. The flow would vary from weak, to weaker, and finally it would just drip. And you could not predict when you would get a weak flow and when you would just get drips or dribbles. I called the owner of the plumbing company and he came out to take a look. The problem was the pressure relief valve sent out by the manufacturer. The young plumbers installed it on the hot water discharge side and they should have installed it on the cold water inlet side. However, the print on the manufacturer's instructions was so tiny that I needed a magnifying glass to read about this detail! The hot water heater now works fine, and I would give it five stars if this important part of the instructions had been presented in a way that my plumber and I could read it without a magnifying glass. Addendum in May 2025: Our first heater worked so well after the installation was corrected that we ordered another one. When it arrived, I saw that the installation instructions have been vastly improved. They are clearer now, and they are printed on good paper in a size that is easy to read.

UPDATED REVIEW Edit #2 -11/29/25 - I purchased this unit on Nov. 7th 2024. It stopped working in approximately June 2025. Since the return period had expired I finally got around to replacing it and took it apart. Something was rattling around inside. It was a machine screw that fell off. Mind you, this thing was in a house under kitchen sink and was not moved around since the original install date in 11/2024. I also noticed why it had stopped producing hot water. A wire was broken. See pics. Very poorly assembled and bad quality control. Save your money and buy a quality water heater. I ended up with an EcoTemp 2.2 in the end. This water heater only lasted 6.5 months..It stopped producing hot water on 6/14-2025. I have not removed it from under the kitchen counter. The thermostat is set to the halfway mark as it's been since it was installed in November 2024. I do not know if the heating element burned out already so soon or what went bad on it. It is just dead and another thing is that when this water heater was working the hot water pressure was very weak compared to my old one. This water heater was obviously NOT designed as a long term solution. I live in a rural area in the desert that has high mineral content. I had 2 water heaters burst in one day! The first one was a 30 gal. that caused much damage to the wooden floor. I turned off the water supply at the road and by passed the water heater with some spare 3/4 tubing and fittings I had in my shed. I then turned on the water supply again and verified that my makeshift bypass job was not leaking. When I walked into my kitchen, there was another flood of water all over the floor. It turned out that my 2 gal. water heater under the kitchen sink had also decided to join in and sprung a leak at the bottom as well. Thought it might be a PRV so checked water PSI and it was 55 PSI which is normal out here. Autopsies on both heaters revealed massive corrosion and rust on the bottom of both. The new DAORDAER is much much lighter then the old one in weight but works well for the kitchen. The only complaint I have is that the electrical cord is woefully short and will not reach the outlet so I am using an extension cord until I fabricate or buy a dedicated extension cord for it. I plan on flushing it out every 6-12 months after seeing the damage our water causes to these appliances. So far so good on the water heater.

Lather up with soap while the water is off, then briefly turn it back on to wet your shower scrub before scrubbing. Finally, rinse off while gradually adjusting the temperature as needed. This method helps conserve water while still giving you a great shower experience. Highly recommend!

Used it as a replacement for my gas camper water heater on my camper rebuild project. Works pretty dang good. Heats decently quickly. Granted I’m taking a 4 gallon navy shower. But it’s perfect for that application. When you’re sweaty nasty and itchy being able to have a hot shower is game changing.

Easy installation (for my plumber, anyway!) and this baby gets HOT. It has been a real game changer and now we don't have to wait literally 1+ minutes for the hot water to reach the kitchen.

Bought this for my camper! Works great! Love having the ability to have warm or hot water at our sink. As long as it’s on prior to you using water you get hot water immediately.

Installed by professionals and used it 4 times before it stopped working. Not to mention the fittings included all leaked and had to be replaced.

I used this for a washer assembly project that could only utilize DI water going into it. IT works like a champ! had to get a little creative with the input and output connections due to some reducer fitting and what not, but this thing works great! will see how long it last. Im not expecting anything more then a year due to DI leaching off anything it touches. But great little heater.

Works great for washlet unit next to toilet. It can hold water at perfect temperature. Fast heating and big enough for a washlet unit.

Everything is working how it should. Water is hot in an instant. Hubby is very happy as or on demand is a bit to far from the bathroom sink and he's complained about having to wait so long for hot water. Especially in the winter.
