Great product; has kept my stuff completely dry and fits a decent amount, no having to leave my wallet, keys or phone on the beach, everything is safe with me. Was concerned the waist strap would rub and mark or damage my wetsuit, no such problems so far and the strap sits really well without moving around or having to be cranked up tight. Feedback from the shore is that it sticks out like a sore thumb which is perfect; definitely feel safer when swimming with it. Air bladder system works great and the buoy sits very high out of the water; in fact my biggest worry is having to check every now and then that it's still there as I hardly feel it. Will update on durability if problems crop up.

This is a great product! So what makes it great? It is visible, sticks out in the water like a t... in a punch bowl and it keeps your phone and keys safe and secure. I bought this product for long swims in open water and I don't like to keep my car keys and cell phone in a bag unattended on the beach or pier. You don't feel it (the buoy) and will check occasionally to see if you haven't lost it. I've stopped in the water, turned around to see where my phone and keys were as I was sure that they had fallen off and were lost. The buoy is not lost, it's right behind me! It is your invisible, ace in the hole, phone a friend life saver. I am a long distance triathlon swimmer. My feet, my calfs, my legs cramp up all the time. It's not a rated life saving device, but its a great life saver. I can sit on this thing, take a nap and wait for rescue if I wanted. Its an island of air and I'm sure that the manufacture has tons of disclaimers to the opposite. However, I would buy it again as it is what I need as a swimmer. It buys you time if you get in trouble in the water and provides security for the things that you know shouldn't leave on the beach....

This product works great, I'm so happy we bought it! My wife and I open water swim and wanted to store some items in our bag and increase our visibility for people boating and fishing. After narrowing it down to the Speed Hound, New Wave, and Kiefer buoys, we chose the Speed Hound because it looked like it was the best quality, is more adjustable, and came with a nice phone pouch for additional protection. The buoy itself is great and easy to use, we have not had any issues with leaking or the buoy staying inflated. It does a great job keeping you afloat if you stop for a break. It would be nice if the cap for the air valve had a tip so you can deflate it easier, otherwise you have to use your keys (which are probably in your air-filled buoy) - just a product improvement note. The cord is super adjustable and can go very long so you'll never feel the buoy floating behind you. Great product overall.

This is my first week using the Speed Hound and I have been very impressed. It is easy to inflate and deflate. It did not feel cumbersome nor create any drag that I noticed. It had enough floatation that if you were panicking about the Lochness Monster you could hold onto it and keep your head above water. It is easy to spot and great to keep an eye on loved ones when they get away from shore. I have yet to use the dry bag components so I cannot speak to whether your stuff will stay dry. My husband took a swim with it and gave it two thumbs up. Ways to improve - *Perhaps some thin neoprime around the waist loop to decrease the risk of chaffing/abrasion. *Better Valve system or attach the cover. (Valve cover feels cheap and it can come off thus concerned about loosing it or having to motify it) *I'm concerned about the connection from the drybag to the leash...Appears as if it may fail... Curious what will happen in strong winds & after a season. Right now I am loving it with some skeptisim for long term sustainablity... I do plan on buying another one for several friends after I finish the season with this one and see how it lasts.

This product is really cool . It will be great to take out to the lake with us . It comes with a Buoy floatation device and a dry bag and waterproof so phone case. The waterproof cell phone case holds the iPhone 6 Plus perfectly . These are also really bright so if they float away you can still see them from far distances . It's adjustable for the buoy to fit around your waist . It's also very light and very compact to take anywhere you want to go . So if you have a boat or just love to go to the lake or any kind of open water this is the perfect thing to take with you so you don't lose your stuff. The Speed Hound Swim Buoy is EXACTLY what I have been looking for AND more! It makes me visible to boats and provides me with a buoy in case I need a quick rest when swimming at our vacation lake house. Additionally, it can hold and keep dry a ton of stuff including a towel, goggle case, keys, phone (comes with extra waterproof phone case) and more - a benefit I didn't need but really like. It is durable and super easy to blow and and deflate. When swimming, I don't even know it's there. I honesty LOVE this and had so much fun going out on my own to swim while on vacation - something I've never felt comfortable doing prior to having the Speed Hound Swim Buoy. Highly recommend this product.

I am really glad I made this purchase. We often go snorkeling on vacation. I am not a great swimmer so I always wear a vest. However, my husband and son are confident swimmers and want to go out in the ocean without that safety measure, which kind of freaks me out. This was our compromise. There have been plenty of times where my husband has gotten a cramp, or the two of them get caught in a strong current. So now I made them wear this, which does not restrict their movement. We actually jerry-rigged a longer strap so they can still dive up to 15 feet. Now I feel more comfortable being able to see them first of all, and also that should they need a break, they can hang onto the buoy. I imagine that the ability to keep some belongings with you could be handy too when you don't have someone on the beach watching your stuff. I gotta say my husband was not onboard with this, until he tried it out, and now he is just as excited as I am about having it "just in case".

I bought this to practice open water lake swimming. I’m not super confident in the water so I felt like this gave me a huge sense of comfort. Plus being able to carry my keys and phone was nice as I left my bike in my truck. It worked perfectly. I only wish I could adjust the length of how far the buoy floats away from you. At a certain point it kept bumping into me and getting in the way of my stroke because of the current. Thinking if I could change the length that might help. Otherwise loved it.
