The carpal brace is used for conditions involving lesions to the carpus, leading to pain, lameness, or difficulty in moving. The stabilising effect of the brace provides significant benefits, since it improves the functioning of the ligaments. Bandages or plasters, also with medications in the case of surgical wounds (arthrodesis) or of licking wounds, can be used inside the brace. The carpal brace can be used before and after surgery, in cases of acute or chronic arthritis (osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis and similar disorders) and of lesions to the ligaments (laxity and contracture). The brace ensures greater stability, a significant reduction in pain during functional recovery and reduced swelling of the carpus.
