Updating from 3 stars to 4 because seller sent a replacement base in response to my previous review. 5 star customer service, but the replacement base also flickers and dims, so I give the product 4 stars. It still manages to warm the salt crystal and produce somewhat steady light, and the flickering gives it almost a flame effect, but I just received the replacement so I will update again once I know whether the issue will get worse with time.Original review: I've been using this lamp in my office for less than a week, now, and the LED base has already started flickering and sometimes dimming completely, probably due to a faulty connector in the mini USB port. I tested it with another cable (not the USB cord with the dimmer switch) and encountered the same issue. Quite disappointing, as I was very much enjoying the warm glow and gem-cut salt crystal until it stopped lighting up. Now, it's just a very pretty paperweight.

the idea is great..love the portable size for my small trailer and the USB makes it alot easier to leave outlets open to use for appliances..BUT, it's not attractive since it's almost white and no amber color like my home salt lamps, or even the picture..its not pink...and one corner of the salt is missing like a hunk out of it...I need pink salt for the ambience I am looking for and one that is a whole square...I'm hoping the seller can send a replacement instead of a return... to complete a good idea

Wasn’t happy with the color of the rock, looks like a frosted white cube. Has no warm amber /orange glow. The USB cord and dimmer seemed functional, but I didn’t want just a white night light, I wanted something to create a bit of warm ambience.

The light itself is beautiful and a good size. However, the benefits of a salt lamp / deionization require the salt lamp to get hot/warm. This one does not heat the salt block enough for this
