This organizer worked great for a 1-gallon Mason jar.

My local quilt shops were all sold out of this product, so I was glad to find it online. It’s a great caddy to store important implements while you’re sewing. And, it has a place for a pincushion on top, for which you provide the fabric - so you can coordinate your pincushion to other items in your sewing room. It’s a great, fun tool!

This is cute but a bugger to get the lid on the jar after covering that rubber top with fabric. But once you crank it on the jar once, it kind of sets itself and is no longer a problem. It works WAY better on a jar with a 'shoulder' so that the bigger part doesn't just slide down the jar. It's handy and cute otherwise.

The caddy is not what I expected. Nowhere in the Amazon ad posted at the time I ordered was there an indication that this is a one piece item that, in order to have a pin cushion, would require me to cut and alter the one piece item that arrives. Mine arrived this morning.You have to cut your pin cushion out of the notion holder. The pin cushion that you have to fashion and cover with your own fabric (or leave plain) has no permanent way of attaching to the top of the mason jar unless, I suppose, you glue it. The caddy is made of a flexible material that feels a lot like silicon/rubber. I can't imagine putting it to use would provide for an easy in, easy out center for items stored in it (tend to stick).Attached are pictures of what I received: the intact caddy top and bottom, plus the packaging front and back (including instructions for making your pin cushion).I'm disappointed and returning.

This thing is so cool! Good for holding bobbins and the matching thread in the jar until you are completely done with the color. The scissor holes are very handy too. I keep loosing my seam ripper, too but no more! In the jar it goes! Not super thrilled with the pin cushion, but it is handy to have at the ready. The pin cushion is hard to put the pins in a little. Overall nice product!

So cute! I am going to go pick some fabric to cover the pin cushions still but it went together easily without. The jars I used are blue 32 oz Ball wide mouth canning jars. I love smartneedle products, they are an adorable collection of things for anyone who loves to sew. These are no exception, I'm looking forward to filling up my new notions jars!

this is the second time I have left a product review. I like the idea of the product but haven't used it yet. Need to buy a wide mouth jar and some fabric and stuffing to put together and use.
