Snap closures worthy of Old American industry! Good weight to build muscle. However, no real insulation. This holds your stuff not necessarily keep it warm or cold. Build quality is what you’d expect from Stanley: sturdy metal construction that feels like it can take some use without falling apart. It’s not flashy, but it’s dependable. Inside, there’s plenty of room for the essentials. It holds my lunch, drinks, and even a pipe pouch without feeling cramped. I still need to pick up a proper thermos to pair with it, but that’s part of the design anyway—it’s meant to work as a complete setup. Overall, this lunch box does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s durable, practical, and carries a bit of that vintage charm. If you’re looking for something reliable with a classic feel, this is a solid choice. Very good sticker retention, too.

I had been looking at this lunch box for a while but kept putting it off because of the price. Ended up getting it as an early birthday gift to myself and I’m glad I did. First thing you notice is how solid it feels. It’s all metal and definitely built to last. The latches are strong and snap shut securely, and the handle feels sturdy when carrying it around. It has that old-school, classic look but doesn’t feel cheap at all. Size-wise, it’s bigger than I expected in a good way. Plenty of room for containers, drinks, and snacks without feeling cramped. I paired it with a Stanley thermos and they fit well together. Only thing to keep in mind is it’s not insulated, so it won’t keep food hot or cold on its own—you’ll want an ice pack or thermos for that. Overall, it feels like one of those things you buy once and keep for years. No regrets.

I have always wanted one of these lunch boxes. It is perfect. Durable for sure. I love it. Coupled with the thermos and the soup container, it covers all my needs. Hot beverages last all day in winter, and summer i put smoothies in an it stays cold all day. Simply it is awesome

This is not terribly big but it holds quite a bit. It is perfect for hauling snacks and sandwiches to sports events for my younger kids while we watch the older kids. It is incredibly sturdy and nothing gets ruined and wasted. We have tried a million different cooler/backpack/lunchbox options, and I think we have landed on our winner. With lots of kids and lots of coming and going, stuff gets shoved and dropped and stuffed and stepped on. This lunchbox protects all the foods and therefore also the stroller, car, other bags, etc. Obviously a little more expensive but quality is to match and will save me more than its price in wasted food....this season alone! (Besides all the clean up time saved wiping smashed uncrustables off of everything.)

I luuuuuurve this metal "lunch box" tote toolbox briefcase whathaveyou. It's perfection. I also recently got the "Stanley Classic Vacuum Water Bottle 27oz" and I am DELIGHTED to find out that it PERFECTLY fits in the top of this lunchbox. And it's SUCH a cool bottle holding design. There's free-floatiing curved metal cantilever that's bottle shaped in its curvature, and a hinged, semi-curved squarish U-ish metal wire/pipe that "clicks" into place under pressure. Basically, you push "in" on the wire so that it pops out, put in your bottle on top of the cantilever, and then press down the wire until it clicks back in again. Together, top and bottom, they create pressure that keeps your bottle free-floating inside the top, leaving the entire bottom free for storage and no worries of anything being crushed. I'm doing a lot of driving recently and this is even better than I had hoped for something to carry small foods and snacks and things in. It's absolutely perfect. My two warnings are: - the metal clasps have sorta sharp edges, so if you come at this thing at any kind of angle, don't surprised to get nicked. If you use it regular, it's fine, but just be aware that this isn't lazy-proof. It's actual metal, it can hurt. - the handle is clearly moulded plastic, but mine came a little notched in the sliding part where it can lay flat or be up taller. the notched plastic makes it extra stiff and it's just mildly annoying. also nothing that you can't fix with an exacto knife and a tiny bit of patience :) I got this for like 38 bucks, I think, and I'm very very very happy with it. basically the price of an ok backpack, but it's gorgeous and well-made and I dunno why but the simple genius of the water bottle holder is gonna have me entertained for the rest of my life. If you like the look and are even considering get this, I say just go and get it, you'll love it, you know you'll love it, you're just trying to justify the price. truth is, it does feel a bit pricey, but I'm so so so glad I actually go it. enjoy!!!

I love this lunch pail. it's thick gauge metal and very sturdy. It's the last lunch pail I'll ever own for sure. The classic style is why I ordered it. Then when I had it in my hands I felt the sturdiness and it was even better than I expected.

‘Magnificent lunchbox’. Sounds a bit saucy. Ha ha! But it sums up my review. Looks amazing, and so sturdy. I imagine Fred Flintstone would have had a lunchbox like this. Sturdy, strong, plenty of storage space. The lid space for the flask is ingenious. Secures tightly shut and opens by clasp very easily. Stanley I think stands for high quality when it comes to tools, but they have my highest quality compliment when it comes to this lunchbox. I just could never have imagined I’d ever be excited about a lunchbox, but as a driving instructor this sturdy, we’ll made, easy on the eye lunchbox does it for me. Very highly recommended!

La qualité Stanley n'est plus... la lunch box mythique et maintenant " made in china" et ça se voit! dommage....

Estava com muito receio dela vir com alguma avaria devido ao transporte e embalagem, mas chegou inteirinha. Excelente item pra quem gosta de clássicos. Note que é uma lancheira de ferro bruta. Não é térmica. É old-school, vintage. Minha única observação é que a antiga plaquinha da Stanley foi substituída por um adesivo... preferia que ao menos a marca Stanley fosse pintada / gravada na lancheira, pois o adesivo certamente sairá.
