Reliable and efficient
My previous Frigidaire, 12,000 BTU finally bit the dust after 17 years! Why would I replace it with any other. The old one and the new one are both designed to cool 550 square feet, but I have kept my whole house cool which is 1935 square feet. In July 2009, we had a heat wave hitting 100F here in the northwest. I set the timer to come on at noon at the lowest 60 degree setting. Leaving work at 4PM, the outside temperature in my truck registered 100F. Arriving home at 4:30 I walked into my house and it was 69F everywhere. I pushed that sucker every summer for 17 years, and yes, over time the efficiency dropped mainly because I only cleaned it once. It got to the point that I could only use a set point temperature of 2 degrees lower than room temperature registered 50 feet from the A/C; otherwise the coils would frost up. When I took it to the boneyard, it was like losing a family member. Now for this new one. Its much quieter. I didn't have to drill new holes to mount it because everything aligned exactly to the older one. I've only been using it for about a month now and pleasantly happy with its cooling performance. I always use the ECON mode and put the set point at 4 degrees less than my weather station 50 feet away. When my house reaches 70F, I turn it on in econ mode with a set point of 66F. So far the temperature in my house will not exceed 70F the rest of the day and the A/C shuts off automatically often because it easily reaches set point. Right now at 6:30 PM, set point at just 67F, my weather station measures room temperature at 69.6F with an outside temperature of 80F. Note, I have an open floor plan, A/C mounted in kitchen window, weather station in family room. This A/C rocks!!!

Better than advertised.
My air conditioner works better than what I had hope for. Cooling large u-shaped area with ease. Not near noise that an earlier one made. No problem with weight of unit. I did install window mount bracket. Of course week after purchase a better price came up. So far very pleased with purchase and I encourage family member to purchase one. Mike

Works Better Than Expected
Easy install and has been working great so far. I would recommend getting a window support bracket to make the installation easier and give the unit extra support. Cooling performance has been impressive. This 12,000 BTU unit actually seems to cool better than my older 18,000 BTU 220V unit. It gets the room comfortable quickly and has plenty of power without needing a larger setup. Overall very happy with it. Good cooling, easy setup, and great performance for the size.

Not durable at all!!
Bought this summer of 25. Used it for the summer months(about 3) it was working perfectly!! We followed the recommendations from the Frigidaire website for storage to the T! Took it back out for summer 26 and the fan blade motor is not working properly and is making a loud grinding noise and it isn’t cooling. Since it was slightly out of warranty the company said we can’t do anything. I fought it anyway on a Good Will Warranty Request because they pride themselves on the durability of their units. Got my money back because they don’t make this unit anymore! Save yourself the hassle!

Good AC
Cools our small bedroom well. But it is loud! I think all wall/window units are though. I do wish the indicator lights on it were bigger/brighter as to be able to see what mode I am clicking on from a far w the remote. Or even if the remote told you. It does have an opt opt turn the lights/ temp display off on the unit. I find it unnecessary since the display lights aren’t bright!

Working great 👌
Arrived in excellent condition & is cooling a large room on the 3rd floor.. The rear of the conditioner has lots of ventilation & the fan cooling the condenser is powerful throwing a lot of hot air out and away.. On high setting The cooling fan blows plenty of air to push around in a large room.

Large and heavy, but it really puts out the cold air!
This is a very powerful air conditioner made for a window application. I cut a hole in my Garage side door that I don't use to simulate a window opening. I used to have a similar A/C with only half the BTUs. This one really keeps my whole double car garage cool. You can set it with the control panel or it comes with a remote as well. It is pretty quiet compared to my old one. It really makes my garage comfortable in the Southern summer!

Some hiccups but all good
"In a brilliant move to farm credit card points, we opted for no packaging and delayed delivery. It was a flawless victory until the box arrived sporting a fist-sized crater, causing me to instantly utter a profound, 'uh-oh.' Sure enough, the back corner looked like it had gone a few rounds with a linebacker, but since I loathe return logistics more than minor cosmetic damage, I demanded a partial refund—and successfully extorted some credit out of them. Now installed, this thing looks absolutely gorgeous. My window was too narrow for the standard accordion panels, so I channelled my inner Bob Vila, built my own custom insulated side walls, and slapped them in myself. It’s cooling a 250-square-foot room, and let me tell you, this baby can blow. Is it loud? Well, let’s just call it 'aggressively enthusiastic white noise.' You get used to it, and honestly, I kind of dig the jet-engine ambiance. It's officially registered, so may the Force be with me, my DIY skills, and this unit lasting for the next ten years.
