Well made solid watch.

Highly impressed with this watch. Bought on bracelet because that's always best advise. Can be hard to find one aftermarket should you ever want to go that route later on. Plan was to put it on the Watchdives black rubber waffle strap but the spring bars are so big that even after fighting them for over an hour with multiple tools, I could not remove one. Because of the design of the bracelet, I can't even get anything in there to cut or pry the spring bar out without risking damage to the bar holes. A nice watch but now forever trapped on the bracelet.

No, the bracelet is not the highest quality, the finishing isn't perfect, and the movement is unregulated, but it's only $115. Regulate the NH35 and you've got a great watch that you can toss around and enjoy without a care.

It is my second Captain Willard from Watchdives (first has black dial and steel bracelet). I bought this one for my son and this gift was amazing for him! The watch is beyond praise - style, quality of the case and NATO strap, excellent movement (accuracy +2 seconds per day)! In reality watch is more beautiful than on photo! Highly recommend!

The watch just doesn’t look that good in person. It’s cheap and it shows. The bezel on mine did not line up. Reason enough to return it. It was off by a quarter click at least. It’s very heavy and the clasp was not easily micro adjustable like others I’ve seen. No drilled lugs either for easy band switching. The band was cheap looking. I know there are similar versions of this watch with better ones. This was not one of them though. The hands looked smaller and cheaper than in pictures. The ceramic bezel and dial looked cheaper than in the pictures. The sapphire was very nice and the only positive for me. A Seiko King Turtle is more expensive but worth the difference and with a better movement. I’m returning it.

I am very familiar with automatic watches, their movements, setting them, etc. I have never owned a Watchdives watch until now, but I would say the overall impression is very 2-3 stars. Accuracy - watch lost 5 minutes of time in less than a week. If you look up acceptable levels, this is far beyond, even with automatics, which are known to be less accurate. Watch was manually wound the same turns to ensure accuracy potential. Too early to say durability levels accurately, but it should fair decently. I basically gave it three stars instead of 2 stars as I like the appearance. YMMV, but I would recommend saving more and getting a SEIKO or CITIZEN, even used, time keeping purchases.

been wearing it for a week now. Item arrives wrapped, in good condition, in box together with tool for the strap links. The watch feels solid and significant and has good presence on large wrists. It is a beautiful piece and for the price i have no compalints. Lum works fine in the dark. I would recomend.
