Excellent DMM
Fluke makes a great line of handheld DMMs. The 17B+ is perfect for an electronics test bench, supporting the range of voltage and current measurements of typical interest as well as resistance, capacitance, frequency and temperature measurements and continuity checks. The OLED display on my Agilent U1273A finally gave out, becoming too dim to read. I ordered a replacement display board, and purchased the Fluke 17B+ because I needed a meter in the meantime and was a little nervous about the off-brand replacement display board. The replacement display arrived today and is working well. I'll definitely be keeping the Fluke because I want a backup in case I have any more trouble with the U1273A, because it is often convenient to have a second DMM available, and because I really like the Fluke 17B+.I get identical resistance measurements with both meters. The U1273A measures 10.005V from a lab supply set to 10V, and the Fluke measures 10.01V. I'm not running a calibration lab, so this is perfect for the things I'm doing. The meter is easy to use, it does exactly what I expect it to do and there haven't been any problems or surpises. It feels good in the hand, solid and well made. (I don't think the world needs another picture of a Fluke 17B+ on a bench displaying a measurement. Trust me, it looks just like the picture in the listing and comes with test leads and thermocouple as shown.)If you're looking for a meter for your electronics workbench, this is one you should absolutely consider. It's a great combination of quality, performance and price. If you don't care about frequency measurements or tempeature measurements with a thermocouple, you can save $40 with the Fluke 15B+.

Highly Recommended
This is the best hand-held multimeter that I have ever owned! Fluke is well known for quality products, so that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. This unit has great features, including AC/DC voltage, resistance, continuity, amperage and even temperature measurement. It's a little pricier than many other no-name brands but it is worth it. It has a nice kickstand for use on the desktop and, although it is a bit large, it does fit into my hand. The display is easy to read and has an automatic shutdown function to save battery life. I highly recommend this particular model!

Quality Multimeter
I'm pleased with this meter. I've used less expensive meters over the years and they did not last - some just stopped working, some started giving me readings that I didn't trust. My goal was to buy one more meter and have it last. I won't know about that until I've had it for a while ;-), but the built quality is excellent and you can tell the difference between this Fluke and those other less expensive ones:1. The display is large and easy to read2. When you click to the different measurements, V ac, V dc, etc., it engages solidly.3. Auto ranging was fast. It's just a really nice meter.I've only used it for V dc, Ohms, and I tested the thermocouple, so I can't speak to the other functions, but the ones that I tested worked great. Speaking of the thermocouple, I tested it in an ice bath, between two ice cubes, and I got 0.4 degrees Centigrade and 33.1 degrees Fahrenheit. It also seems to be reading correctly in room temperature, compared to my home thermostat and a stand-alone thermometer. There were some things that I saw in some other reviews that worked fine for me:- Some reviewers said that when you used the audio continuity that it was slow - it was instantaneous for me.- Some said that the tone was not loud enough - it was plenty loud for meI'm totally satisfied and I'm not surprised. It seems that Fluke, which has been a trusted brand for a very long time, has maintained its level of quality. 5 Stars.

More meter than most will ever need!
Outstanding meter (typical fluke) that fits a majority of mechanics, techs and do it yourselfers.High accuracy, easy to read display, feels good in the hand and high quality construction.Easy to use with reasonable length test leads. For the money, this is a great value. If you want to spend a few bucks less, you can get the 15B without the temp sensor. It’s close to the same unit otherwise. Will fit even more potential users! You can count on the fluke brand.Quality matters to these guys and their decades long reputation. You won’t regret buying one!

Confidence of a Fluke, made in China, one year warranty only. Good hand held size.
Only one year warranty, Chinese made. All the features I need for a fire alarm, low voltage tech plus some higher end feautrers such as micro amp and milli amp measurements.

Wholeheartedly recommend this!
This was one of my smarter acquisitions. It’s very comprehensive and easy to use. No job too small. I use it primarily to test guitar pickups, but have used it to track down problems with other electronic devices. Great piece of gear!
