Let's start off with me setting this up. "Did you use optical cables?" No i have a Smart TV, same make (LG) to be exact so i was able to connect via Bluetooth and the connection took around 10 seconds for my TV to find the sound system, then once i was connected no matter when i turn the TV on it will automatically connect to the sound system and stays connected no matter what i use; Games Console, Hooking my Phone to the TV or TV Programs in general, this should work for every TV brand as long as you have a Bluetooth feature (for older TVs you will have to look at different reviews). The sound system comes with it's own remote which has it's features including volume (using my TV remote for the volume turns off the Soundbar and Sub and switches back to the TV speakers so i'd use your new remote for volume). "Come on, what's the sound like?" The sound is excellent, now writing this review i havn't had the sound system for long enough to test every feature but the sound is crisp from the Soundbar and the Sub is as menacingly deep as it needs to be (really cinematic) BUT.......now now it's nothing bad, it's just from my own personal experience which is the difference between Standard mode and Cinema mode you get on the remote. Because my apartment isn't that big Cinema mode causes the Sub to rumble the hell out of the floor which makes me fear for the neighbours so Standard mode is enough for me which still develops a deep bass just.....not as much and Standard mode allows the Soundbar to be louder allowing dialog to be more crisp (UPDATE: Playing around with the 'Woofer' levels on the remote can balance out the intensity of the Sub Woofer output, so it is customisable in both modes.) All in all it still sounds cinematic but you be the judge of that. ALSO UPDATE: I will say after watching many movies with these speakers they are a few downers, that being in some scenes when characters are talking i have to higher the volume up to hear what they are saying. Then when i am satisfied the movie will come to a scene with loud music or bass sound effects and i have to immediately turn the volume down before the Sub rumbles the floor into a million pieces so to speak. 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' is a prime example where it's all ok up until the Stone Giants scene then the Sub goes crazy. Which if you live in a detached house with sound proof walls this won't be a problem for you, for me living in an apartment block, i guess i'll have to keep the remote in my hand throughout movies just in case. I still give it 5 stars though because it's still a lot better than my internal TV speakers which sounded tinny.

Great for general TV and listening to music, giving a clear balanced sound. For football/sports, it lacks the deep bass that I like when a player kicks the ball, or fans chant etc. It also lacks bassy-ness for gaming. It won't sound thin and tinny though, so you might like the clear powerful sound it provides, minus the heavy bass. I just like some extra bass at times. I kept my old Creation Sub Woofer (which was made for PCs actually) and combined it with this LG sound bar and the bass of that, with the power impact of the LG, is great! I also like the fact that, when you turn the TV on, the sound bar automatically comes on. It doesn't seem to turn off when turning the TV off, but (I think) that is standard of such electronic items, which seem to operate by telling each other when to turn on, but not off. I noticed that a particular TV advert dialogue isn't as clear with one or two words disappearing completely. It's just one advert though, and it might be due to how the sound engineer of the advert might have added something called compression, rather than any artificial sound alterations or compression action of the sound bar. A good purchase overall.

i got this because my living room is quite small now and the surround sound I had was just not cutting it. No wires and easy to install. I have connected mine with an optic cable which means that I can also control it with my sky control (well volume). Got mine on an amazon deal so really pleased with the price.

The good points Great sound quality with great clarity and bass. Looks gorgeous and is very sleek despite being silver blended into my living room flawlessly. Very easy to setup this is a positive and a negative sadly. It's very much a case of turn it on and it's ready to use. The bad It's very easy to setup however there are not enough managerment options for bluetooth you cannot secure it with a passcode. The bluetooth connection is always on and visible meaning anyone can connect to it whether you want them to or not. This also means the device will turn on the moment someone connects to it with bluetooth. LG state that only one paired device at a time can connect, but it is a rather major oversite security wise. Since anyone can pair to it without pin authorisation. In addition the bluetooth signal interfered with the wifi signal on my ps4 dropping it's connection speed from 60mbs to 194kbits when the device is turned on or in standby. This is at the 2.4ghz frequency, now alot of devices use this frequency and only certain devices can be set to 5Ghz on wifi to bypass this interference. Some routers support bluetooth coexistance but unfortunately this product doesn't support that feature and so you end up losing wifi speed and connectivity. This is a real shame, because if you take the bluetooth feature off this device. It's a fantastic soundbar at a great price.

The item looks good and based on others' reviews, no doubt it will sound good. The listing clearly says that there is an optical cable in the box but there is NOT. So until I run to local Curry's and get one at inflated price, I can not check the units fully. What a shame. I expected better from LG and Amazon

Il prodotto si presenta con un ottimo imballo, il montaggio è molto semplice, è possibile applicarlo a parete e le piccole staffe sono in dotazione. I collegamenti presenti offrono versatilità. Acquistato per dare un po' di spinta al volume del mio 40" 4K devo dire che non mi ha deluso, i bassi sono abbastanza profondi, non ho ancora provato con i film ma già ho visto alcune regolazioni personalizzabili del livello dei bassi-medi ed alti, oppure si può scegliere 3 preset. Collegato al TV LG via wireless si autoconfigura e si attiva il Volume sync. Il pannello frontale presenta scritta in led colore chiaro che si vede molto bene. Ho collegato soundbar al TV tramite cavo HDMI ARC così da utilizzare il telecomando del TV per regolare l'audio della soundbar. E' possibile usare un collegamento differente tramite cavo ottico (magari proverò per sentire se vi è differenza nella resa o meno). I volumi sono sicuramente aumentati così come la profondità del suono, per essere un prodotto relativamente economico sono molto soddisfatto della qualità. Per i possessori di PS4 Pro ho collegato ps4 al tv tramite cavo hdmi 2.0 per fruire dei 4k e tv a soundbar tramite hdmi arc, funziona perfettamente.

Ottimo prodotto. Qualità del suono e potenza molto buona. Unico difetto non sono riuscito a collegare la soundbar alla TV LG con il cado HDMI dalla presa HDMI ARC...credo sia un problema sulla TV. Ho effettuato il collegamento con cavo ottico.

Wir werfen heute einen Blick auf die LG DSH5. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein 2.1 System – welches mit einem Kabellosen Subwoofer betrieben wird. Wer Lust hat, schaut mein Video dazu auf meinem Youtube Technik Kanal. Infos am Ende der Rezension. 300 Watt Gesamtleistung werden von LG angegeben - Davon gehen zwei mal 60 Watt auf die integrierten Frontlautsprecher der Soundbar und 180 Watt an den externen Subwoofer. Die Soundbar ist optisch sehr schlicht gehalten, passt aber daher sehr gut zu den meisten TV Geräten ohne wie ein Fremdkörper zu wirken. Die Verarbeitung ist durchweg als gut zu bezeichnen – das Gehäuse besteht komplett aus Kunststoff, sieht aber dafür sehr wertig aus. Die chrom Einlagen an der Seite unterstreichen gekonnt die moderne Optik. In der Mitte ist ein kleine Anzeige untergebracht, welche die aktuellen Einstellungen und Kanäle anzeigt. Im Betrieb ist hier übrigens nur während man Einstellungen tätigt etwas zu sehen, sonst wird man nicht durch LEDs oder ähnliches gestört. Auf der Rückseite finden wir die Aufnahmen zur Wandmontage, sowie die Eingänge. Es ist ein HDMI Out mit ARC vorhanden, sowie ein separater HDMI in. Darunter finden wir eine USB Buchse. Die LG Soundbar gibt übrigens nicht nur Dolby Digital wieder sondern auch DTS, was leider bei vielen anderen Soundbars fehlt. Weiterhin ist auf der Rückseite die Buchse für den Stromanschluss zu finden. Betrieben wird die Soundbar mit einem externen Netzteil. Daneben finden wir die weiteren Eingänge - Einmal Toslink also ein optischer Eingang und den 3.5mm Klinkenanschluss. Über Bluetooth verfügt die LG übrigens auch. Der externe Subwoofer des Systems kommt relativ klein und zierlich daher. Dafür passt er dann aber wirklich in die kleinste Ecke und fällt nicht groß auf. Die Verbindung zur Soundbar wird kabellos hergestellt. Lediglich Strom braucht der Subwoofer und es kann losgehen. Die Oberfläche des Subwoofers ist leicht carbonartig in der Optik. Wirkt live ganz schick. Auf der Rückseite haben wir dann den Anschluss für das Stromkabel. Das Netzteil ist hier im Subwoofer integriert. Etwas weiter oben befindet sich die Pairing Taste, zur Verbindung mit der Soundbar. Eine Fernbedienung ist natürlich auch im Lieferumfang dabei. Diese ist klein und Handlich und liegt gut in der Hand. Alle Tasten lassen sich leicht erreichen. Aber keine Sorge, die Soundbar kann mit den meisten TV Fernbedienungen gesteuert werden. Unterstütz werden dabei LG, Sony, Philips, Sharp, Panasonic, Vizio, Toshiba und Samsung Das Klangbild ist eine deutliche Steigerung zu den TV Lautsprechern. Dank des Subwoofers hat der Klang ordentlich Wums und verleiht Filmen damit eine ganz andere Dynamik. Sprache kann sehr gut verstanden werden, jedoch nicht ganz so klar wie z.B. bei der Yamaha YAS 105. Bei sehr viel Action kann es schon passieren, dass die Stimmen mal etwas leise sind. Ebenfalls etwas negativ sind die Höhen aufgefallen. Diese wirken auch bei der LG etwas bedeckt und somit bleiben gefühlt ein paar Details im Klang auf der Strecke. Die räumliche Wahrnehmung war hier nur bei recht hoher Lautstärke etwas zu spüren. Das hat Yamaha leider deutlich besser gezeigt. FAZIT Für 200 Euro bekommt ihr mit dem LG system eine deutliche Aufwertung in Sachen Klang. Die Optik passt sehr gut zu modernen Flachbild TVs und der Subwoofer ist auf Grund seiner geringen Größe nicht besonders aufdringlich. Dank der vielen Eingänge, ist das LG System recht flexibel. Die DTS unterstüzung ist hierbei ebenfalls positiv zu erwähnen. Per Bluetooth könnt ihr nicht nur eurer Smartphone verbinden, ihr könnt auch das TV Gerät bei Kompatibilität verbinden und so ein Kabel sparen. Mit meinem LG TV aus 2016 klappte das ohne Probleme und mit stabiler Verbindung. Hierbei könnt ihr dann auch einen BT Standby einschalten, so dass die Soundbar von alleine angeht, wenn der Fernseher den Klang überträgt. Spedizione precisa, imballo impeccabile, installazione semplicissima. La qualità audio rispetto a quella della TV è di un altro pianeta, non in senso assoluto poichè a volte ho la sensazione che il suono non sia il massimo ma per il prezzo mi sembra un ottimo compromesso, il mio scopo era migliorare e di molto il pessimo audio della TV ed è ciò che ho ottenuto. Ho acquistato LG per avere una perfetta integrazione tra TV, appunto LG e soundbar e in effetti hanno fatto tutto loro da soli per sincronizzarsi in maniera tale da poter utilizzare un solo telecomando, quello di Sky...eliminando di fatto tutti gli altri telecomandi! Ha diversi settaggi preimpostati che rendono il suono molto diverso a seconda della modalità scelta.

Meiner Meinung nach hat diese Soundbar einen echt schlechten Ton für diesen Preis. Ich weiß das wir hier von keinen 300 bis 500 Euro Geräten sprechen aber einfach nur Wums und kabum reicht bei einer Soundbar nicht. Die Dialoge in Filmen versteht man so gut wie gar nich viel zu leise demnach muss ich lauter machen, wenn jetzt aber eine neue Szene kommt knallt und wumst es wie nur irgendwas. Alles viel zu laut wieder, also wieder leiser machen dann kommen wieder Gespräche wo man kaum was versteht wieder lauter machen und das geht die ganze Zeit so. Leider hilft das Asc und diese Sound Engine nur wenig eigtl. gar nichts. Schalte ich diese ein wird ALLES einfach nur leiser keine Verbesserung der Dialoge also auch da wieder ein ständiges lauter und leiser machen. Was mir noch öfters aufgefallen ist das die Lautstärke ab ein gewissen Punkt entweder zu laut oder zu leise ist, es gibt kein mittleren Wert für die Lautstärke um angenehm Fernsehen zu schauen. Die Soundbar geht definitiv wieder zurück und versuche da nochmal lieber etwas anderes.
