Medieval Coin Purse - Historical Costume Accessory Renaissance Bag

I got this bag for my son to use as a coin bag. This review is based on his experience with the bag.It's a L.A.R.P. bag. It works well as a coin purse or a courier's pouch. It also makes for a good spell component pouch.The style is usually used for carrying large quantities of money rather than for personal change. Outside of live action role playing, it makes a nice accessory bag.He carried around between 3-5 lbs of coins in the bag all day, and it held up well.He wore it tied to his belt.It is very well made. The stitching is good. He can yank with normal force and stitching does not give.The drawstrings do not pull through the loops easily. It takes a little force to pull them through. But that will help keep it closed.Although it is faux suede leather, my family thought the leather smell was rather strong. I thought it had a strong smell, but couldn't identify it.It really did feel like suede. The family passed it around and thought it was leather.Ultimately, my son decided to give it to his sister, because it was larger than required for an everyday moneybag.She's going to use it for a purse.I received this bag in exchange for an honest review.

This is an excellent bag. I bought it to use as a valuables pouch for my Ren faire costume. It's a high quality item that will easily hold my wallet and phone, plus a fair few other things if I need to.Shipping: This item was delivered in less than three days. Had no issues with shipping.Quality: This item is made of a thick faux leather material that looks very much like the real thing. It is thick enough tobe sturdy while not being so thick that it can't be worked with. It is a bit stiff, but I chalk that up to it being brandnew, and I imagine it will soften and become more malleable with use. The stitching is great and everything is puttogether well.Usage: The pouch is plenty large enough for me to carry around all of my items. The cinch strap that goes through theeyelets on the top of the pouch is somewhat difficult to use as the material is stiff, however this is just because Ihave not used it enough to properly break it in. The shoulder strap is plenty long; I'm quite tall at 6'3" and wearingthe pouch with the strap has it hanging just below my hips at my upper thigh. I also had no problem tying it aroundmy waist.Cons: No major cons with this pouch, it's great. The one (very minor) thing I can think of is that the material has astrange odor that I expect is just a product of the construction process. It's not overbearing and you can't reallysmell it unless you deliberately smell the bag. I expect the smell will go away with use.Would definitely recommend this.

**Update: I purchased this 4 years ago and I still use it for faires! My costumes have changed, but this little bag is still my go-to. Love it still! I use it for faire cosplay probably 2x a year (one is an overnight weekend event and it gets used for several days).Original Review: Wonderful product! I purchased this for a medieval faire. It's large enough to fit my cell phone, wallet, watch, and a few other things. It is a great quality item with sturdy material. The strap is adjustable (I will be wearing it around my waist instead of crossbody); it's difficult to close but that's a good thing! I ordered the dark gray, which is actually a lighter color than I'd like but black wasn't available. A free gift was included which I loved! This bag *could* be used as an everyday bag, but it's not as versatile as I'd like for that kind of use. Overall, it's a great time period bag to hold items but stay in character.

I absolutely love this bag! It was obviously made with love. The leather is so very soft and the color is perfectly natural lavender. I am so happy to talk to anyone who asks me about it when they see me wearing it. My phone and wallet fit perfectly inside it and it is easy to use on the go!

This little bag will be a perfect addition to my Ren Faire costume this year! Very roomy for phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses, etc. I tied it to my belt to complete my costume, but the cross body strap is also long enough to wear comfortably. They even dropped a little "something" into the bag as a surprise upon delivery. :) Very pleased with my purchase. Great price and good quality faux suede.

Going to use this for Ren Faires and other such events. I wanted something with a strap long enough to go around my neck, and a bag big enough to hold keys, money, phone, water bottle, etc. This is PERFECT. Beautiful craftsmanship, feels good and sturdy, love the look of it, it's exactly what I wanted.

Love this, it was a perfect accessory for the Michigan Renaissance Festival. It is large enough to hold cash, cards, phone, and other accessories, but not too cumbersome. The leather is solid as is the stitching. This is actually my second bag ordered. I liked my first so much I ordered another for my partner.

I ordered this to gowith my peasant costume/wedding dress for Ren Fest. The body of the bag is very nicely made & the seller included a free gift inside the bag which i loved but...i have 2 issues with the bag. #1-Color. natural purple really just means a shade of brown. Had i been able to tell that there is no purple at all in it i would have ordered black. This won't go with my dress. :-( #2-Length of the strap. This is not a crossbody bag on me which is also why i got it for my costume. The strap brings the body of the purse to just under my (pardon my french) breast; not at the waist or hip where it should. Luckily the design allows me remove the strap and create one if my own so i can make it work but now i have to spend more $$$ to make it work. I really, really wanted to love this bag & i really wanted it for my costume/wedding dress in October (2016). So... I had to do 3 stars. I should probably return it but i hate doing that. :-(
