This appears to be a very well-made product. Obviously, we will need to see how it stands up to the abuse of multiple winters, but it certainly looks like it's up for the task. This was the 36x36 size and it slipped right over the top screen cover and fiberglass screen I use around the side to keep the summer floating cotton and debris from getting into the core. The only potential negative is the drawcord hanging down after the bottom is snugged up . . . but I will come up with a small plastic bag to hold the excess cord and then tuck it up under the cover in some manner to keep it off the ground and potentially buried in the snow.

Very sturdy and durable cover that is well made. Fit my outside compressor perfectly and was easy to install. The buckle closure to secure the flap designed to accommodate the unit's wiring worked fine. I read at least one review where the customer wanted to flap to fasten more completely but for my purposes it works fine. Very glad I decided to order this product from Sturdy Covers AC Defender.

Decent product... would buy again.This review is based on only one season's use. So far, I am happy with this product overall. To me, the material seems durable and is appealing to the eye for what it is. The fit and finish are good and the sizing was accurate and came in as advertised. I had a hard time finding a cover to match my unit as it is a 36 x 36 x 36 and this one dropped on and fit nicely. The advertised size is 37 x 37 x 40 and the extra lengths worked out well, allowing me to easily install and secure the cover.It endured a bitterly cold Michigan winter in a heavily wind swept area - no tears or splits are apparent. Having only used it for one season so far, I would have to say at this point that I am happy and would purchase again.Now... some discussion about what could be better.The corner slot where the refrigerant lines and electrical conduit protrude from did not have (in my opinion) an adequate means of closure. It secures with a single buckle at the bottom which didn't really hold the corner opening closed all that well. I bought a kit and installed brass grommets to better close up the corner opening. See picture for details. Regarding the product warranty, it appears these guys are confused about their own warranty. I added some pictures of pages out of the owners manual that came with the cover. I think it is great that it came with such documentation, but it needs to be better written (not terrible though). So, is the warranty 3 years or 6 years? See pictures for details. Another thing I noticed, is that my cover is starting to noticeably fade already. We haven't had that much sun yet - it's only April. Not a deal killer. The durability and warranty (whatever it is) trump the fading. The cover comes with a drawstring around the bottom that is supposed to be used to secure the cover. It may or may not work well - I ignored it and used bungee cords to hold mine on instead. With the high winds, I felt more secure using the bungee cords. (See picture for details. You can see the yellow cord near the bottom). Out of the five pictures I submitted, two show the whole cover installed. One is when it was first installed last fall. Color is nice new, dark black. The other was taken at the beginning of April '19.The color is lighter from fading but the integrity is still there.OK - I'll wrap up this review with some closing statements. Yes, I would buy again. I like the ventilation window and the fit and finish are good. The price was reasonable as well. Very fair pricing compared to others. Someone needs to review and edit/correct the owners manual (see pictures). Perhaps some Velcro to close up the corner slot would be an improvement also. Material feels high quality with good durability. Despite the minor imperfections, this product deserves the good reviews it has been getting. If your looking for a cover - this one is worth taking a look at.*UPDATE TO REVIEW as of June of 2022...I am downgrading my original positive review to 4 stars. The product proved to have a short service life and did not demonstrate the level of longevity it should have. After only 4 Michigan winters, the cover was severely faded and was tearing. Fading is not a big deal but tears are. Also, I detected evidence of water intrusion after the 3rd season. Water repellent is essential for a cover like this and this cover came up short.ANOTHER UPDATE... October 19, 2023.After my last review update, I contacted the company and they totally honored their warranty, promptly sending me a replacement. I sent them pictures and as advertised... they provided a hassle free warranty experience. I recently installed the new cover in preparation for winter. It is the same quality as the original. Looks great and we'll see how it does. The very last photo I just uploaded is of the replacement. Thank You STURDY COVERS company for keeping your word.

Works great

Fit perfect and hold up to strong weather

This was about the only cover I could find that would fit my A/C unit. It's not quite tall enough and a little too big around, but it works! I was surprised at how heavy it is. Since the cover wasn't tall enough, I used tarp clips and bungee cords to hold the cover on the unit. This only works because our unit sits a couple of feet above the ground on a bracket. Would definitely recommend! I plan on buying one for our other A/C unit.
