Smile Tea Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha from Kagoshima Japan made by only first flush/first harvest, sustainably Grown for Generations

I wouldn’t say I’m a Matcha aficionado but I’ve tried a lot of Matcha’s as I’m in the food industry. I found this company by trying their matcha at a trade show. I will never buy another Matcha again! Many Matcha’s have slightly bitter or grassy sharp notes. I didn’t know that Matcha could be creamy! It’s bright green as it should be and has creamy soft notes to its flavor. The other thing I noticed is how finely ground and incredibly soluble it is! I traditionally sift my match as you’re supposed to do but this stuff just falls right through the sifter! It’s literally the best I have had. Makes me want to snuggle up in my oversized chair with a book and a throw blanket and never move. Buy it!

I've gone through many a matcha in the past decade and for a long time now I've been looking for the "ultimate" matcha that is organic, ceremony-grade, high quality, at the right price point, doesn't have that bitter taste, and is from a reputable company with morals. This tea hits all of my requirements. This is the smoothest, most vibrantly green, mildly sweet (and miraculously not bitter!) matcha I've ever had the pleasure of drinking. It dissolves very easily and is of high quality. I discovered this tea at the San Francisco Tea Festival last year and the owner and tea farmer were so kind, down to earth, and knowledgeable about their teas. Highly recommended!

Very high quality, vibrant green color and very smooth!! Love this matcha

Good for beginners. A truly nutty matcha, with a tasty roasted umami flavor and natural creaminess. There is a sweetness in the finish. The bitterness is mild and short lived. There is also a hint of grassiness. When combined with a splash of oat milk a walnut-like flavor develops. As koicha, the flavor is reminiscent of dark chocolate and is umami rich. As a latte, the roasted umami carries the flavor profile and provides an interest to the drink. This is a well balanced matcha and is very pleasant and easy to drink.

...this is NOT what you’re looking for. It has some of the characteristic bitterness associated with many latte-grade organic matchas, but not terribly so. However, it’s just mediocre and you can quickly find WAY better matcha online, like the Tenchi Ceremonial Organic offered by Matcha Kari.
