yes, this is a fun fotography book - less of a cookbook, more of a book to smile about. you have to buy into the premise that there are such things as aphrodisiacs - which is a controversial proposition, and a culturally-specific one (i.e., some cultures consider some things "aphrodisiacs" that would never make it past my lips ...). but within those parameters (i.e., believing in aphrodisiacs, accepting that for Western cultures, chocolate is one of those, and so are oysters, and so are ...) it is fun to look at the black bean body, and the avocado tush. I have bought several of these now, most of them used, and sent them even to overseas family members who think the books are a hoot. enjoy !

The recipes in this book are wonderful! My hubby's favorite, (the one that started it all!), is the Honey Pecan French Toast. It takes a little time, but let it sit overnight, put in a clean pan, and bake. OMGoodness! You will never want bread dunked in egg again! If he had a tail, he said it'd be a-waggin"! Try it! It's mighty good!!! I could go on and on, but this one is the one that prompted me to find more recipes from this book and try them. Very good, all the ones I have tried so far! Get the book! Bought as a gag gift for a bridal shower. But the recipes are actually ones I'd want to buy! Silly book to have, good conversation starter, actually very beautiful photographs throughout of people only wearing aphrodisiacs.

I wish this book wasn’t out of print. Best recipe book I have ever had—I received my copy close to 30 years ago.. It’s my go to gift for weddings!

I ordered this book to put with other items as bridal shower gift. The book is a little banged up, and looks very used. Not sure what to do with it.

Beautiful photos. I thought the recipes were a little too easy but it makes sense when planning a romantic night. Do you really want to do a ton a complicated cooking? Just enough to spark ideas without breaking the bank or having to spend a full day doing pre-prep.

I enjoyed reading the recipes and the comments however a lot of the recipes mentioned were not to my taste. However i would recommend this to the more adventurous cooks. =]
