Not strips but fish skin rolls
My pups were all. over. this package when it arrived today! Yikes!! They LOVE them... but I was expecting smaller "strips". These are like 4" long rolls of fish skin so won't work as the training I had planned on them. These are more along the lines of "I'm leaving for a few hours and you'll get a delicious treat when I get back!" Oh and the smell just makes everything reek of fish.... ick. But as long as the pups are happy. I just wish they'd be like 1"x 1.5" strips, not these log - type things.

Oh, Yum! Loved by my dog!
My dog loves these cod skins! Plus it gives her a little crunch. It is hard to find a crunchy treat that my dog is not allergic to or is dangerous to her!

smelly and delicious!
My Ben is an oldmandog basset mix, at about 12 years of age (adopted from the shelter, so we aren't really sure). He used to love rawhide and bully sticks but he just can't get through them anymore with his old teeth... I'm always on the look out for something tasty to snack on for him that is longer lasting than a biscuit but not as hard as a bully stick so he can actually enjoy it. Pig ears are good but he kinda gets bored with them after he's had a few. I've been getting the really expensive salmon skin treats at the natural foods store from time to time, and they're great but they're really, really expensive. These cod skins are a decent compromise. He seems to like them just as much, they're crunchy and easy for him to chew (like chips, almost). They're a little bit oily and a lot fishy, which is good since he doesn't see very well anymore and has to sniff out his treats when he drops them... these ones aren't hard to find, for sure.I do have some reservations about these being produced in China but I do plan to order again since they are minimally processed treats and the likelihood of them being adulterated with goodness knows what is pretty slim. I give him one in the evening before bed most days and the package lasted about 3 weeks so there are a good number of treats in an 8 oz bag.

My Dog LOVES these!
My pup has a lot of food sensitivities. It has been hard finding her treats that arenโt goi h to make her sick or out on a ton of unhealthy weight. These fish skins are ideal for her. She loves them and canโt wait when give her one.

Only some are edible
The dog did like the ones she could eat, but about half of them had some hard dried substance that made it inedible. The ones she could eat were messy and sticky. I'm looking for another brand. I came remember but I think I bought these on price.

Dog loves them.
It is odd that the review asks about flavor with a dog treat. All I know is they STINK of fish and the dog absolutely LOVES them. They are a little pricey but worth it as a special treat for her.

AWESOME Treats
I have been purchasing these treats for my dogs for years. All of my dogs - chihuahua, Anatolian, and German Shepherds have loved them. They are natural, crunchy and healthy. Great for their coats and nails.Highly recommended.* I cut up the smaller "bite size" version of this brand to use as training rewards for my GS pup. They stayed more intact than the dried liver in my treats pouch.
