This helped me pass the exam!
I bought this book about a month ago, and I am happy to say I just passed my Texas Journeyman exam with a 92 on my first try! In Texas there are 80 questions in 4 hours. On the exam you will need to look up almost every question in the NEC book. This practice book is great to learn how to do that as quickly as you can (knowing where exactly to look for the answer). There are a total of 250 questions for the Journeyman in this practice book, (I did find one error on a question). When you practice I suggest writing down the time when you start a question and writing down the time when you answer it. The Texas test only gives you 3 minutes average per question so finding an answer swiftly is very important. On the real exam I also recommend writing down the time when you start each question. I gave myself a maximum of 5 minutes on the tough questions to try and find an answer. If I found no answer after 5 minutes I guessed at an answer and marked it so I could come back to it later at the end. I ended up having a little less than 20 marked at the end of the test and I had an hour left on the test to go back and further search for the answers on these. Definitely put tabs on your NEC if you haven't already. I highlighted everything I thought was important such as the " part 1, part 2, ect of many sections, every main section in the contents, and I wrote several notes. I found the index to be very useful on hard to find subjects. I was happy to see on the real exam some of the same questions were on it. I owe my success to this book, and the time I put in practicing - it does take some time and effort to get good, so don't get discouraged. The goal is not to know or memorize the answers, but how to look up 99% of the answers efficiently. Good luck!

Its alright
There are 6 25 question journeyman electrician tests and 6 25 question master, plus final exam for each with 100 questions. Book also has other tests and exams for some maintenance and residential electricians. For whatever reason the time you need to complete the test in this book and actual time at the state exam are different (almost seems like a typo). Its not a big deal but I only realized this after a few tests. In book they give you 3 minutes per each question while the real state exam gives you only 2.4., thats a huge 1 hour difference at final exam. So keep that in mind.......state exam here is 100 question and 4 hours, in this book its 100 questions and says you have 5 hours.

Well worth it
Helped me pass my test for the Maine limited electricians license. All the information you need is there. It just depends on how much and what you study. It’s a huge help that I spent hours on reading and taking the practice tests. Extremely worth not only your money, but your time.

Excellent Guide
This is an excellent guide book to prepare for the state electrical exam. I see a lot of questions that I saw on the Georgia Non-Restricted Electrical exam years ago. I think the key is to know WHERE to find your answers but also know your general trade knowledge. There is no way possible to memorize the entire code book but it is good practice to use a guide like this in order to get familiar with knowing how to find your answers. Very good book to have on hand.

Give you answers and where to find it in the code book
Helped me pass my state test on the first round. I only took 5 of the test out of all . It gives you questioned similar to the state test. And gives you the correct answer along with where you'd find the answers in the code book so you can ultimately see where you went wrong.

Good stuff. Slight typo
The book is very good and if you take the time to do the review questions and then analyze how you got to that answer it will definitely help when it comes to the test. But on a fun note the ohms law circle on the front of the book has the wrong formula for finding volts when you have power and resistance. The formula it shows is actually for finding amps. Whoops

Very helpful
Passed on my second try using only the test questions in this book. Lots of practice questions that cover most of the code book. Don’t waste your time and money on prep courses.
