Beautiful tall lamps. Seems like these days all the lamps are short, and have ugly USB ports and outlets on them, or they're touch lamps. I wanted traditional, simple, no frills lamps. These 3-way lamps fit the bill nicely. Traditional looks, simple and functional. Fairly weighted as they're made from metal, nice hard backed fabric shades that do not have to be assembled like most modern lamps these days and have super long cords. The 3-way brightness works as it should, although it would depend on the brand of bulb used, but the one's I purchased work as intended with these lamps. Overall this is a 10/10 and I'm happy with my purchase.

Love these lamps. I changed out the shades for my own taste, but the shades were great as well. The style is simple and tasteful. I originally tried to purchase through Ashley but they have a “no return” policy so checked on Amazon and they had them available with the Amazon 30 day return policy, plus they were less expensive. Fortunately they fit in our home perfectly so don’t have to worry about the return. They were packed very well so protected from breaking. Great purchase.

These are really beautiful lamps! The shade is a pretty, neutral off-white fabric! Sturdy, timeless and well built! Elegant addition at a great price!

So these are just basic lamps with a nice design for my needs. They are thin stamped type metal construction. They are about an inch shorter than the advertised height so I am not terribly happy about that as I have a tall bed and tall nightstands and I needed a little bit taller than normal of a lamp and I ordered these based on the description with is incorrect. The main description shows 30 inches tall and the description farther down says 29. They are more like 28.5 tall. I looked for options online and I guess some people just put books under their lamps or get these wood blocks that can be finished in any color to raise the lamps up. I like the look of them. These are supposed to be three way switches but I don't know who the hell would be using 3 way, antiquated, incandescent bulbs anymore. I use 60 watt led bulbs and leave it on the switch position whereby my zwave, GE smart outlet can control the on/off and dimming of the bulbs via my Samsung Smartthings setup. It is also voice controlled with my Amazon Echo/Alexa on my night stand. On a side note here I also have an automation where these lamps start coming on at 1 percent brightness at a specific time in the morning and ramp up to a 20 percent brightness over a period of 5 or 10 minutes. This is all adjustable through samsung smartthings. I tried 100 watt led bulbs and they worked great and were very bright with these. The dimmest part though was too bright so that is why I am using 60 watt leds. I wasn't impressed with the rubber foam stuff on the bottom of the metal lamp on one of the lamps. It was cut too small of a diameter and didn't keep the metal portion properly cushioned from whatever surface this lamp would be put on. Something to note if you have nice wood surfaces and move the lamp which could result in scratches. These do require assembly which was easy enough. The packaging is kind of a pain in the behind with all tape and pieces of white styrofoam going all over. There were a few dark ink type stains on one of my shades. Not happy about that but I rotated them out of sight and they were small. I would most likely order these again if I needed more lamps. I visited the local Home Depot and wasn't impressed with their selection and price. I am just a single dad with no decorating skills at all and after many years of not having lamps next to my bed I am really glad to have purchased these. Having lamps on each side of the bed really changed the feeling of the room and I wished I had bought lamps years ago. Having the voice control dimming really makes them convenient. I just say "echo light" or "echo dark" to turn them on or off.

This is my second set of Signature Design by Ashley lamps in different styles. I purchased a set 4 years ago and because it was so well-made and still looks and works like new, Ashley was my top choice for bedroom lamps also. The Makara Minimalist Table Lamp Set arrived in pristine condition and properly packed. The modern style was exactly what I hoped for. I specifically chose this set of lamps because they are dimmable. NOTE: MUST USE DIMMABLE 3-WAY BULBS FOR THE LAMPS TO WORK PROPERLY! I ordered 40/60/100W Equivalent 3-Way A19 LED Light Bulb 3000k Soft White Color from Amazon and they provide exactly the light needed for nightstand lamps. The light is adjustable from mood lighting to reading, exactly what was needed. They would also be excellent for living room, family room, home office, etc. Ashley has been a pleasure to do business with and their lamps are an excellent value. They look and feel much more expensive than they are and I will definitely order from Ashley again.

These lamps look beautiful once put together. I deducted stars because I spent quite a bit of time looking for lamps that were not made in China and thought Ashley made their products in America. Therefore I paid significantly more thinking they were better quality if made (even mostly) in the USA. However when I received the package it was directly from China right on the label. That was disappointing. Also the product tag on one of the lamps was foolishly put inside the lamp as opposed to around it like the other one. This meant the string went directly through (touching the components) inside the lamp which is not wise and even a potential fire hazard. When I tried to pull it out it broke. The styrofoam used in the packaging was so cheap it actually crumbled apart into tiny particles making a huge mess. Once put together these lamps look nice but we will see how long they last. I know after reading many other reviews of various lamps listed that several customers complained of lamps not working long. I hope that is not the case with these considering the price. I hope more quality products that are made here are added to the selection,

I like the size and appearance. Needed two and like the classic look. I wish the bulbs were provided. I purchased LED 3-way, but they only work for two way. Doesn't matter because I use the lamps for reading and they are very bright. Lamps were very easy to assemble.

I love the light these lamps cast in my living room! They are beautiful, bold and make my living room look complete! They were easy to assemble and came well packaged. The price point was perfect!

I got exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy, conventional and look really sharp.

Lamps have a small wood base that has very little weight. Lamp could very easily be knocked over. Also, wire to lamp is centered in the middle of the long side of the base so if you planned to have the lamp showing narrow side it doesn't work.
