I put it in cause several of my friends needed a support bar near the toilet. One of my friends is about 200 lbs so I pulled on it after installing as hard as possible and no issues. My friend was very happy with it. It's strong. It also looks great.

This is a well-made product. It is very strong, and very sturdy once installed. The paint is perfect, and the welds are very clean. It is simple to assemble, but deceptively difficult to install. There are three mounting holes in each end mounting bracket; consequently, there are six mounting holes all together. All six holes must be perfectly aligned in order to mount the bar. That can be more difficult than it sounds. I found it easiest to drill the holes for one mounting bracket first, then assemble and attach the bar next to help accurately position the mounting bracket on the opposite end. The bar is 16 inches long, which allows at least some of the mounting holes to align with wall studs. However, because the mounting holes are more than one and a half inches apart, at least some holes will inevitably need to be placed into drywall (if mounting on a wood-framed wall). The caps that cover the end mounting plates are designed to snap into place. One cap snapped into place as designed, but the other one did not. I had to glue it into place.

I love this bar! It is a handy place to grab when standing up and down from the toilet, and it is nice to have extra toilet paper on hand. There are no rough edges, everything looks well-made and nice, no paint chips or other defects. if you’re looking for a handrail that doubles as a toilet paper holder, this product is a good choice!
