Big Bang for the Buck
I had limited experience with monopods before buying this one, so I based my decision on reviews and I'm glad I did. This monopod is built like an old battleship -- study and functional. It has a quality feel, from the carbon fiber leg to the locking mechanism when the leg is extended, to the fold-out feet. I can't see anything that I would improve and don't understand why anyone would pay a penny more for some other brand. I'm hard to please and if I say it's worth 5 stars, you can take it to the bank, lol.

Worth the money, a bit unstable in tripod mode
Work perfectly fine, tripod mode is a bit unstable when fully extended. I would love for the next one to have the features that are located at the bottom to be foot operated somehow.

Excellent product
Excellent design and build quality. Love the quick deployment and height adjustment. A bit heavy but I think most monopods with feet are on the heavier side.

Almost a great Tripod
Great Tripod except the adjustable feet. You push the lock button in to adjust the level of the feet up, but they will move down without pushing the button when you pick it up if you bump it and then you can’t set it back down until you correct this, poor design on the locking feet in my opinion. If your always on level smooth ground no problem but I used it this weekend on uneven, rough ground and a foot would be easily docked down to the next spot making it necessary to adjust before setting it back down again. Feet should lock in place to prevent movement in any direction. 3 stars – for the price it shouldn’t do this.

Twist lock mechanism that makes this monopod "special" broke.
Used it for about two weeks and during a job I noticed that the monopod was lowering when I thought I had it locked. So I went to lock it and heard a big snap! The locking mechanism broke and now it's completely useless. It's stuck in a pretty high position, so hopefully there's no issues returning it.

Good quality. Works as advertised. Recommended
Top quality monopod; I'd rate it as professional grade. The quick release system is just what I needed. It works well and makes life so much easier than my older conventional monopod. It's quite large and heavy compared to my older Sirui monopod which was a bit of a concern for me at first but I quickly got used to it and will be using it for shooting at events from now on. The tripod feature on the bottom seems like it might be useful in the future, I have only used it for testing so far. I can see plenty of use case scenarios for it. One thing I like is that I can put it down standing up and don't have to carry it around when not in use. The only thing that lets it down it the bag. My older Sirui tripods and monopods have better quality bags with zipper openings. The bag with this one feels like lower quality, it's a hassle to get it in and of the duffle style bag in a hurry and the printing on it looks ugly. One thing to note is that the advertised height is for using it with the tripod legs unfolded. If you use it as a conventional monopod or with the tripod feet removed you lose height. Now I'm glad I paid a bit extra for the 165 over the 145. It seems durable and I reckon it should last well. I've have other products from this company and have been happy with them.
