Got this as a gift for my friend who is obsessed with flamingos. Going to visit her for the first time this year, and can’t wait to give her this for her lawn collection! The listing shows an opening in the loop under the bird’s bill so that the lantern can hook onto it. The one I received had no slot in the loop. It is completely sealed and also the center of the loop is sealed. I used a pair of needle nose to poke out the filling in the loop but I did not try to cut it. Instead I used the pliers to open out the hook on the lantern just enough to slide it onto the loop and pinched it back closed. Works fine. Was charged on arrival.

I have 6 goth yard flamingos. 2 of them are zombies, 2 are skeleton flamingos, and 2 are black with a skeleton on the body. When I saw this I thought this would be a perfect addition (even though it isn't goth).I love how it's painted..... It seems like it's stone. It's light weight, but hefty enough to not blow over. The lantern shade , and unscrewing the bottom to open the battery compartment seems flimsy. I was scared I was going to break the lantern. I'm hoping I can find a battery, and I hope I can figure out how to replace the battery, if I find one, when it needs to be replaced.It's taller than a 16.9 oz bottle of pop. It comes in 2 pieces, and easy to assemble. Just put the chain that the lantern is hanging from in the hole.It actually does light up! I got solar power lights that doesn't light up. So I was really excited to see it lights up. Everybody looks for the flamingos to find my husband's and I's house. This light will help them find the house in the dark.The only con I have is i would NOT pay $30 for this. I'm thinking maybe $15

I had to get this as soon as I saw it. It’s well-made, and it looks so dang cute sitting outside on a shelf on our deck! The little light is surprisingly bright. We’ll see how well the light holds up to the heavy spring rains we get out here in the backwoods of Arkansas. I hope it holds up well, as it’s a cute addition to my outdoor flamingo collection!

UPDATED: Two weeks outside, and the "lantern" is filled with moisture. This unit is NOT WATERPROOF. Reduced rating from three stars to one star.This resin accessory, priced at 30 bucks, would be rated higher if it was a third of the cost. You get a lightweight hollow statuary, and a laughable "lantern" with a single LED bulb, which sits on top of a 1cm square solar panel, which charges a coin battery.Does it glow? Yes, for about an hour.Mine came with the beak "loop" sealed shut, but just used a pocket knife to open it up.The on/off switch on the side if the miniature lantern does not look in any way water resistant, so I'm afraid that the first rain is going to teach me a lesson about not scrutinizing the listings better before ordering a trinket like this again.

At a whopping $30 I literally laughed out loud when I opened the box. I have to admit that I only looked at a couple of pictures that made this look like it would be a fairly nice sized garden statue. Nope this thing is literally 8 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The eyelet on the beak was also filled with resin or leftover pain requiring me to get a drill to fix it. Lastly, the light maybe lasts an hour on a full charge if that. I've relegated it to our beach room where it at least looks like it fits in. No way would I put this outside as depicted. This is barely 2/5 stars worthy and you should really consider spending your hard earned money on something else as this is overrepresented in the pictures to say the least.

i fell in love with this flamingo as soon as i saw it. i never paid attention (my fault) as to the size of the flamingo so i was kinda surprised when i saw it in the box. the thing that surprised me was the fact that i couldn't figure out where the solar light receptor was. i still don't know. the light itself is really just for one to take notice of it at night as it really doesn't give out hardly any light at all. it feels pretty solid but suspect that it would shatter in a thousand pieces if you dropped it on a solid floor. handle it carefully.

I had picked this up for my front garden. I wanted the dog but got the Flamingo instead. It doesn't stand very tall and is made out of a plastic of some sort. The flamingo is actually really cute in person, the light seems to be lasting a good while. I would recommend this product.

I found that this garden status was much smaller than I expected when I opened the box. The image I included in this review shows that the statue will fit in my hand. I did appreciate the design. The loop at the end of the flamingo's beak was sealed with resin, and I had to bore out the resin to clean the metal loop so I could install the LED lantern. The wire attachment also had to be stretched so that I could hang the lantern. The LED lantern was tiny and needed better light, which was weak light, from my experience. There is a small on/off button on the side of the lantern, and I appreciated the dusk-to-dawn feature included within the lantern. Overall, this was an okay product; it did not fit my expectations and taste.
