Continental Unisex's CTM516 Tyre, Black, 29" | 29 x 2.00

Ive been using these tyres for the last few months on my daily commute to work. My old mountain bike tyres were the usual knobbly chunks that howled at speed and felt a bit twitchy in the wet on the roads and paths. These Continentals have transformed my ride. They are quiet at all speeds and the grip is superb - even in heavy rain (I live in Wales so it does that a lot). If the trail gets a little dirty in places, the tyre shoulders bite into it without any problems. I can 100% genuinely recommend these tyres for commuting and light trails.

Great tyre for I need, good for on Road/pavement making cycling a bit easier rather than the usual off road tyres mtb come with, however it still makes the bike look good with good grip and traction. Seems to be resistant to punctures too. The only issue was the tyre was folded in the packaging. Lucky enough it wasn’t badly damaged. Plus it was very difficult to fit.

Very good tyres for xc trails, tarmac and quite hard wearing.

I have been riding on this tyre for over 2,000km, and not a problem. I ride roads and trails with it and found the grip to be good. Not as good as the mountain bike tyre it replaced, but I wasn't riding the muddy surfaces the old tyres could cope with. The rolling resistance is much less with these, without losing wet road grip. The biggest win has been not a single puncture since fitting them. The old tyres, I had three in the front and two in the rear before thinking I needed tougher tyres.

Great tyres still on bike and a lot less noisy than the knobblies...

Good tyres. Way better than the garbage that came with the bike. A nice blend of road and trail suitability. I'm still getting the odd puncture, but have just installed tyre liners too, so fingers crossed.

i bought these to use on my e mountain bike as commuting in big thick knobbly tyres was getting hard work too much rolling resistance on the roads so I bought these tyres for £20 each they have lasted over 1000 miles and added about 5 miles on to my battery as there is loads less resistance on the road. Off road there great for gravel paths and light mud. I wouldn't bother going out in them in heavy mud and would change back to the more knobbly ones that came with the bike. Well worth the money I have paired them with slime inner tube so not had a puncture yet i commute 15 miles a day so well happy. I will be buying them again.

Great price and Amazon delivery in 2 days is awesome! The tires arrived in a giant box, which was nice because the tires weren't twisted/folded up and made mounting that much easier. I put a little corn starch inside and used new tubes when installing the tires. They beaded up easy and look good on the bike. These are for my son's school bike so the less aggressive tread works great on his mostly asphalt ride. The center tread clears out water nicely and the outer treads grab loose dirt when in the dirt. So far tread wear is good and its a smoother ride than the previous dirt tires the bike previously had.

Habe mein 29"- MTB wegen Umzug vom Land in die Stadt umgerüstet. Umstieg vom Supero Ranger auf den Double-Fighter. Macht auf Asphalt einen Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht. Geht mit dem richtigen Druck (2,5 bar +x) weich, fast geräuschlos und mit minimalem Rollwiderstand - fast wie ein Slick. Auch auf Feinsplitt, auf Schotterpisten und trockenen Trails im Wald uneingeschränkt brauchbar. Bin damit jetzt rund 1.250 Kilometer gefahren. Keine erkennbare Abnutzung, kein Plattfuß. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Gran bel copertone, montato su e-Mtb, ha l’impronta centrale molto scorrevole e silenziosa rispetto al consueto copertone tassellato. È ideale per un utilizzo prevalente su asfalto o strade bianche. La tassellatura laterale aiuta comunque a sostenere la trazione anche su terreni più morbidi. Un ottimo compromesso che consiglio per chi possedendo una mtb si trova poi a farne un utilizzo di tipo gravel.
